    Hi just about to change the axle oils on my defender, Is it ep80/90 GL4 for the axles and transfer box?also how much read somewhere that the gl5 is no good as it rots brass? also what oil for the gearbox? cheers

    Changed bushes last year, but my old axle has given up, Drum brakes need doing, so just sourced a discovery axle, which has everything removed just need to remove my old axle but wondering what size sockets i need, and what spanner/socket for a bar etc cheers Also its got polybushes on it atm

    Evening all, What tools do you need to change an axle? What size sockets? Spanner? Easiest way to remove/ refit? Is it just a bolt on the diff flange to change it? Cheers

    Just had a quick look on google and they are different disco sender - amr1425, defender - amr3321

    Hi, i have a 90 (1989) got replacement discs for it, but my calipers are in need of replacement, i recently changed a 300tdi with solid discs and they are the same size (disc) so could i put 300tdi calipers on it as they have bigger pads, so would that give me more braking power, also do they fit straight on? also is there any negative effects cheers

    Vosa wasnt happy when i had mine straight through 200tdi disco block in a 90, but mine had a big k n N airfilter on it, made me put a silencer in it,and take it for a mot..

    well if the engine and body are fine, how about a gearbox change?

    When i first got mine, it had loads of bread crumbs and loads of pens in it and loads of 1 and 2 pennys, and carpet.. needed a bulkhead, outriggers, it had already had a rear crossmember,, was a bargin but took me a while to find it.

    not a dreamer, depends how good you want it to be, and if you want to do work on it, its just time looking and going to check them out. What 90 you looking for? pickup/Hard-top/soft-top/county..?
