  1. Floor plate in the back, doorsills, bonnet, rear crossmember, upper tailgate. There are probably some I'm forgetting. With me the biggest problem are the doorsills, one of them has a whopping big hole in it, but luckily the plastic cover keeps it from falling apart further when stepping on it. Electrics have been a problem for me, don't know if it's common for the softdashes, but the windows, alarm system and central locking have been acting up for ages.
  2. I did that, but none of it seems to mention a temporary stay. I'm still not too sure how it'll work exactly though, if I need to officially move there or not, etc. This may affect it. Perhaps I should just mail them and ask once I know a bit more about how it'll all work.
  3. Sorry for hijacking the thread a bit, but since there are Swedes reading this... I might be studying in Sweden for a year next year, and am wondering for how long you can drive around on foreign plates there. The registration seems to be a bit of a hassle, and I'm not too fond of sending in my original papers when I'll be moving back to Belgium after that (most likely anyway ).
  4. Get it and make it 6x6 already.
  5. I wouldn't mind a write-up on a 300tdi rebuild, especially what parts and tools to get etc. I have the rebuild manual, but it looks like you need a different tool to get each pulley out
  6. You mentioned extending the 88" chassis to 100". Wouldn't this solve the propshaft problems with the autobox?
  7. Looks like they bobtailed it and welded a big trailer on the back Poor rangie.
  8. Be glad they're not gold, or they'd be even more expensive
  9. A few hours of time, a text editor (notepad works, but get one with a few extra features like notepad++ and everything will be faster), and W3Schools. It's easy enough to learn, and way less fiddly than one of those silly "what you see is what you get" editors like Dreamweaver or Expression Web. Not to mention your site won't look like a 5 year old designed it for Netscape (unless you want it to that is ). As for somewhere to host it. I suppose you won't be running a high traffic website, so shared hosting should do you just fine (Dreamhost or whatnot, there are plenty of options). You could also just get someone to do it for you. I'm available, but not for free of course
  10. Good to know. Going the 300tdi rebuild route then.
  11. Another crazy from Belgium here, but stick with me I'm interested in doing this too, so your write-up will be a great help in the future Haavard. My plan was to get a D2 that had rolled over or something and thus still has a good engine for not too much money. This would solve all the ECU troubles you described above, as I'm really not interested in an auto box, and the ECU would just come with the engine. As far as I can tell, it should be a pretty straight forward bolt on to the R380 + BW, which is currently attached to a 300tdi. A few questions remain though: 1) How about the airco? Will I be able to keep it? 2) Will the gearbox etc need to be moved back to fit the engine? This would be a bit of an issue with the softdash interior I think. 3) What would be a realistic timeframe to do the conversion? Thanks for any and all help, Ben
  12. Oh dear god that looks horrible.
  13. Should be there with the Belgian Collective guys, unless the plans change.
