  5. James, you'll mainly get extra wheel bearing wear, as you move the wheel away from the bearing the additional leverage causes more load and thus more wear. A clubmate uses these with Simexs and is forever taking the wheels off to retighten the fixing studs ! Seem to be more hassle than they're worth ! Mo

  8. Thanks again Simon, appreciated. Just doing jobs whilst the diff is out James, routine maint if you like. Diff is back in now and hubs back on, just the front output seal and and diff input seal to do in the morning and the landy will be mobile again Then I'll take the other diff with the locker in it apart, and find out how much it's going to cost Regards Mo

  11. I have two apparently different hub seals here, ftc 4785 and rtc 3511. Is one an old and superseded part or are they for different years. I do recall talk of different seals, is one better than the other ? Which should I use on my 90 ? Mo

  13. Are there two different types ? The new ones I have here (frc 4586) have a raised lip which foul the muck thrower. Mo

  15. As John said, to the pos terminal, with a bit of small wire with a fuse across the 2 terminals of the isolator to run the radio. Mo
