  12. Normally touch marking (as it's called) is done to confirm that an operation has be carried out. It can be used to show parts have been checked for presence, that the bolt has been torqued or that a rework has been carried out (like the 300 tdi timing belt and pulley rework). It's just an instant visual reference to show that somethings been done. HTH Mo
  13. I have a leaky washer pump. Will this require a new pump or can one buy a new seal (seems to leak where the pump fits into the bottle ? How do you get the bloomin' things out of the bottle ? Mo

  15. Don't bother wasting your gas by turning up the flow if it's windy - it'll either still get blown away or the extra flow will create turbulence which will let air to the weld anyway. Make a good windsheild, leave it for another day or learn how to weld using manual arc (stick welding, hours of entertainment learning, guaranteed ) Mo
