  1. Where's the wheel from Western? Looks very noice
  2. This sounds interesting! I'll be keeping my eye on this....
  3. Hi Guys I've just finished fitting my Raptor dash, and I'm in the process of ordering some gauges...Boost, Ammeter and oil pressure The problem I have is....I'm useless with wiring! I wouldn't know which wires to get feeds from etc and would make a huge mess... Instead of paying some numpty to do it I'd rather pay someone on here and support the LR community, so is anyone on here in the Greater Manchester area able wire some in? I can do the boost as it's simple, but the others need more experienced hands... Cheers! Toby
  4. Crikey! Good job I'm not your passenger, I love pressing buttons!
  5. Really appreciate all this! The door is off to the spray shop sometime in the next week, so I'll crack on ordering a few bits for before then. Cheers Somethingwitty! Toby
  6. Hi Guys I've picked up a brand new rear door for my Defender TD5, what is worth putting on to help with future corrosion? My old one was really bad on the outer skin (galvanic), is there any way of helping to prevent it? Cheers Toby
  7. I would, but it was cheap enough and I can;t be bothered faffing about getting a new ECU (my TD5 is 1999) Toby
  8. Hi Guys Does anybody have the instructions for fitting a PSI tuning box to a defender that they could email over? Cheers in advance Toby
  9. I'm now 19, I got my first 90 when I was 17. I had a 1990 2.5td Truck Cab, and it was £1100 a year with NFU. Now 2 years on I have a 1999 90 TD5 and it is £1250 a year still with NFU. The reason a Landrover is a lot cheaper is because it is classed as a 'Light Goods Vehicle', so aslong as you have either a truck cab or a hard top (with no side windows or rear seats) you'll be around the £1200 mark. And to think they wanted £2500 a year off me for a 1.1 Citroen, I think I'll stick with the TD5 Good luck, have a good ring round, you'll find a decent deal. Toby
  10. Hi Guys I'm after the part No for a TD5 potentiometer/pedal unit. I don't fancy forking out the ridiculous amount that suppliers want for one, and there's a fair few second hand jobbies on fleebay at the moment which are at a price I'm willing to risk at. I've already bought a spare, and all it did was bring up the engine warning light and do nothing, so think it must of been off a later TD5. I have a 1999 Defender TD5, I can supply the VIN No. aswel if needed? Thanks in advance Toby
  11. I got the bulb from Huddersfield Land Rover Centre which I buy quite a lot of stuff from, and they know I have a '99 TD5. I've tried all the other indicator bulbs I've got lying around and they all do it I'll give the other suggestions a go
  12. The other week a bulb went on my offside indicator, I replaced the bulb, but it's still flashing really fast? The strange thing is, all 3 Indicators are flashing. Anyone any ideas of what to do? Cheers Toby
  13. I did have a feeling it could be that! Cheers CwazyWabbit
  14. Hi all In my '99 TD5, when I take it out of 5th in to neutral, it makes a funny metallic tick noise. It does it every single time, and from what I can tell, it's got louder as I can hear it when I'm driving now. Any suggestions? Is it something to be worried about? Cheers Toby
  15. My Td5 is about the same, leaves me with not much Unfortunately for me, there isn't a 'close' fuel station either and I've run out of fuel twice in the past 3 months on the same piece of road...
  16. Exactly! I bet they wouldn't even try this. Keep up the good work! You'll get there Toby
  17. That looks fairly short as it is. Unless you have really long arms Changread Toby
  18. I've seen this done before and it didn't last too long, unless it's a top quality weld I'd personally remove it, cut down, and re tap the top. Don't puma gear sticks have like a plastic outer casing type thingy? Toby
  19. Yes they are. I didn't even think about doing that! Cheers Fellas Toby
  20. Hi all Does anyone know what spare wheel carrier this is? It came my 1999 td5 I need spare bushes/whatever they use on the hinges as theres a fare bit of play in it which is very noticeable when you hit a bump! Because the bushes have gone the carrier has dropped, which has put more weight on the door. Cheers Toby
  21. He uses the same key everyday, and his work is a bout a 5 hour round trip so I don't think charging is the problem, just a faulty key I think. I'll get him to call up about a new key. Cheers Mark Toby
  22. Hi Guys I'm not too familiar with Freelander's, but I got a call of my Dad this morning sounding quite frustrated. He's owned his 57 plate Freelander 2 from new, and never had any problems with it, ever. Then in the past couple of months, one of the remotes has started playing up. From what he's told me, you press the unlock button once to open the driver's door, press twice to open all doors and boot. This only sometimes happens, but sometimes nothing happens, and after frustration sets in you press it a few times and all the windows drop down! From what I have read, pressing the unlock button a certain amount of times will open all the windows, but why isn't the remote unlocking the doors aswel? I don't think it's batteries as the fob is charged when it's in the ignition? I may be wrong. Any help is much appreciated Toby
