Application is secret and the environment is covered in mud/water, so its on a landy!!

So whats the best coating for a 25mm x 25mm x 10mm mild steel with 4 holes each corner 2 with M10 threads 2 straight through holes that will be clamped? My thoughs are: Powder coated Galvanised Anodised Painted Or make it out of Stainless! It will be a high stress pull apart area lengthways!

No I have my own.........its called "strongbow" :) "COW" will have no seals on doors etc, and holes to let water out. My theory is that water WILL get in so why fight it! Will have: Capstan winch Overdrive Mud Damper Cool paint job Roll bar Snorkel I hope to get it into the water up to the snorkel top!

Oh and it needs some "tweeking" as some lines are too straight (see Drivers wing!)

Decided to start painting "COW" as the weather is better. Before............... After......... Still a long way to go, and another couple of coats of paint!!

Jake Wright system. Near side pipe (RR 4>2 manifolds) You will need to chop back (or recess) the inner wing (you can just see the N/S manifold. Collection bit (you can see the flexy pipe which I had to add to make it fit (Flexy pipe was from Janspeed, so does that mean its a Janspeed Hybrid exhaust?) Looking toward the back. First clamp point (note the double rubbers!!) Rear tail pipe (again note the double rubbers!!) chopped 2 inches off the pipe as it stuck out!

Rob, Did you get a mounting kit with it? At present im using 2 rubber mounting blocks (big flat bits of rubber with 4 holes in it) sandwiched together and they still break off!! Will take pics of mine tomorrow and post em up Ignor them, proof that home care don't work

The 3.5 EFi has the shortest nose, but this will mean changing the front cover also. Why when V8 yank motors are 10 to a dollar are you going for the rare(ish) rover v8? I would go for the Chevy or Ford engine I use a Vaxhaul fan on mine, with a new rad and so far so good. It has a cool running thermostat and a manual switch for the fan so I watch the temp like a hawk!

My engine slants back a lot! Hence the EFI water pump don't hit the rad, the 2nd and 4th are behind me and the Jake wright exhaust didn't fit! If the mounts are lower then the engine should go straight in (but this may be tight on the bulkhead). Still recomend you fit the engine without the mounts, then bolt up the bellhousing, then fit the mounts. Its a lot easier!!
