  1. Hello Whistler 110 and welcome.................. Here is my 110 in the original color.............. and the "Old Git" that drives it............... I have since painted it Caterpillar Yellow...............very similar to Camel Yellow but a hellava lot cheaper for the paint I'm guessing you are from the West and drive a 110 also................... Hej Todd; Lookin Good................. :)
  2. MUST YOU SHOUT :) Looks like i goofed on this one
  3. "I suppose even better after the new paint. I can understand not wanting to beat hell out of it on the trails." Luke, You don't what ?..................... You don't off-road? Hey what are a few scratches? after all you have the painting down "pat" :)
  4. RPR............. Not sure on importing a trailer to the US.............. best way is just come and hook onto it....... (but come to think of it i can ask a Forum member for you) They have NATO hitches............ It is an "on site" auction.............. you or a representative must be there............. I intend to be there and may bid on one or more trailers depending on where the prices are going..................
  5. Your problem sounds as described by others.............. something in the external linkage but (and one lousy picture is worth 500 words and i say but.......for anyone out there with a stiff linkage look to the cross shaft #24 in the image and the bearing #18.....they are prone to seizing from lack of use, you must remove the fitting from the top of the case and lube the bee gee zus out of it, working it all the while..
  6. John; You are so perceptive....Thats exactly what i meant :) ya sure !!
  7. Sure get us the company name.............. You have such a great selection in the US I really like their "old fashioned hardware stores"
  8. Hi Luke; Very nice Landy indeed.................. the authorities here frown on two types of license plates but i've recently added a British plate to the rear of my 109" (to cover a dent but in any event here is a shot of it........ and one of me and my "body guards" no relavance
  9. That Lagonda is a hard act to follow but here is mine......... 1925 Ford Model T Tourer
  10. Can't add anything about hydrorubbish but i can recommend a good novel if you plan to use a Milemarker :)
  11. "Hate to say it, but the US will go the way of the British Empire and the world will be run by our friends in Beijing." All very interesting Neil............. (glad you enjoyed your trip over) Anyway here is what i can't figure out.......... With all of the brite economists, etc. in the US (i'm thinking of Harvard here) Do they not realize that when they downsize American industry and cut jobs to the very bone that there will be no one with any amount of money to buy anything...no matter where it is made? and i agree on your comments about China will be the new "player" on the worlds stage, the have had over 5000 years to get their act together and it will happen.............. As an aside.............. Our Canadian politicians ever ready to stradle the fence (and please the Americans) have recently come up with a paper supporting Taiwan independence................ They were warned (just the other day) by the Chinese Ambassodor that this position would have grave consequences for Canada/China relations............. Ho Hum...how is your day going ?? :)
  12. UP YA Got IT.............. right the first time
  13. Well Les you make valid points, naiveity has alway been my weak point........... i guess i just thought people would play by the rules
  14. OK SCL I think i have it now Thanks
  15. I spent a day touring the JCB plant once :)
  16. Hi all does this work does this one work? Please disregard this post.....i was trying to use color and the post got away from me...... but seeing it got posted How do i use color type? I clicked on the symbol for red and then green but it seem to all come up black........ Mods feel free to bin this :)
  17. No worries....In furture all North American cars will be built in China with cheap labour and then everyone can retire :)
  18. Hi All; There will be an auction of a number of surplus Iltis 4x4 vehicles and related trailers in Fredericton, NB Saturday Oct 22/05 I havn't inspected them yet but i intend to do so............. I'll keep you posted. I have an Army friend who says those little Iltis' will "climb trees"
  19. Hi All; I know "binch" is on Holiday but surely there are some North American owners out there with something to say.......... How about starting something like ................ show us what you drive...............where have you been lately ? or any other news :)
  20. Well for my part Les yes, basically............ I think the 20 posts is a good idea at least that shows the advertiser has some interest in us other than "shotgunning" the Forums with adds................ and if the poster is a known trader (ie: that is his livelyhood) then a polite note to him and the suggestion of a yearly invoice for say 100GBp for carte blance would be OK........... and i would make it a requirement for advertisers to name the price and location in the first instance...........sure would cut down on the back and forth................ and further to that have them fill out at least the basics in their profile but then again i think all Forumeers should do at least that............. Nothing wrong with rules and moderation Les in my opinion but we must first make them
  21. Thats the one............. but does anyone really drive around with a notebook in hand writing down URL's to check out later? I think "stickers" are cool for how they look...not what they say............... Michele's LRE one is a case in point.......waaaaay cool
  22. I was holding my "fire" on this one but seeing it will be un-pinned very soon i would like to say i agree completly with Simon's position above...........(i couldn't have said it better I always considered Nick one of us and i think he deserved a better reception to his add............. I hope we havn't lost Nick as a regular and for my part Nick (if you see this) I apoligize to you as an "owner" (if indeed i am) of this Forum............... Hope to see you around..................
  23. "Finally what about the fuel filter - is the series one OK will I need to look at sodbury for the 2.5 mount for one?" If you have the Series glass bowl type on the Series......then i would keep it. The Defender one, on the 110 at least, mounts below the drivers floor and is susceptible to corrision...... Good Luck withe the project
