Yes, But not that i can post Sorry. Check out : http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=22500 The video gives an idea of the terrian you find with ease all over these countries. If your thinking of going, just make it happen. it really is worth it. probabley the last truly wild forests in Europe So use them while you can, the Greens have already stopped a lot of offroading in Hungary, be sure that other countries will follow suit. So what are you waiting for Jim

You are quite right, Wran do switch the earth and the live at the same time. open your solenoid pack, and you will see a brown wire looping to all for solenoids, connect an earth from the bottom of the motor (you can use the red wire as this will is now no longer required) to this brown wire and all your troubles will be over. White is 12v feed and green and balck are your switching wires, the red was earth supply to the switch and brown was earth supply from the switch (After your mod they both become permant earth). Hope that helps Jim

Twin ZF74 Pumps to run a Milemarker Winch
D9OSV replied to Milemarker Type S's topic in Tools and Fabrication
The beauty of the Td5 is it's large serpintine belt. If you are looking at at buying a Disco 2, buy one without ACE (Active corner enhancement) and the pump can be fitted in the space where the ace pump would normally fit. With the 110 the pump can be fitted were the air con comprssor would fit, or if you have air con fit it were the ace pump would fit on a disco. Although you will have to make a minor mod to the inner wheel arch. Hope that helps Jim -
The Ultimate Challenge ? That would be my guess? Please do not forget that we have been racing againist the very good Type'R' for two years now? And have not seen one of them take a major title yet. It will happen............ But when ? Jim

Any good Auto spares place will sell it in 25litre containers for about £30+vat The best way though (If you do this for a living or a serious enthusiast) is get a company such as 'Clean Machine' they come round every 3 months or sooner if required. Wash out your tank and replace the fluid and deal with the waste for about £45 inc vat. They will offer you a choice of cleaning fluids. Most of these companies rent out the machines as well. Jim

Twin ZF74 Pumps to run a Milemarker Winch

Well done, Nice to see someone thinking outside the box. Nice solution to an age old problem. And one in the eye for those that said it would not work Jim -
Get it off your chest Daan I know exactly were your coming from. @Lewis: It would be very easy for be to be a complete B*stard and really give you a good kick in the groin at this point. But i won't. What i will say is that for someone who is so opinionated, you don't half give up easy. You don't need a 5 trillion kva gen to fix your car or a 380amp welder. You just need a single phase supply and cheap 150/190 welder that i am sure someone can lend you. A gen to run that is not overly expensive and i am sure if you look around you can find small barn closer to home for £20 aweek. Just as a small incentive for you. If you can/could find anyone to take on that job (I am not talking about some bloke in a garage or mates, i mean a proper firm) and you asked them to get it to a 'turn-key-vehicle' expect to pay somewhere between 5 and 10k as all the work will be custom and takes a long time. Now if you have that kind of money great. But if i had your skills i 'd be leaving it in the bank and getting off my backside and building something i could be proud of. Jim

Just do it........ Some of my favorite and best ofroading has been through Romania, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia and Bosnia It's amazing..... And the people are very friendly, although once or twice i did feel uneasy in some of the bigger towns were you tend to find large numbers of blokes hanging around......... But this tended to be border towns. Go for it Jim Ps: We are back out to Croatia in May, can not wait B)

XTREM CHALLENGE FRANCE EASTER WEEKEND
D9OSV replied to merc basher's topic in Competing in Land Rovers
If Muddy Truckers had run i would go to France. But as the Ultimate is now the first Big Uk event of the year, then i will enter that and show my support. Plus i've got a bit of unfinished business at the Ultimate Jim -
XTREM CHALLENGE FRANCE EASTER WEEKEND
D9OSV replied to merc basher's topic in Competing in Land Rovers
This event was won last year by Steve and Ollie lloyd. They really raved about this event and how tough it was, but also how great the social side was and that the scenery was second to none. Had the pleaseure of meeting the organiser late last year, and they are really nice people Want a trip away in Easter? Decent temps? great food and wine and seriously amazing offroading this is the one for you You will not regret it. Jim ps: We were booked on until we found we had double booked, as it clashes with the Ultimate challenge Gutted -

Boothy, I think you might find that your talking B*lloxs Most, if not all of the guys on that list have shown polite intrest (After they were called) in the event and nothing more......... I would be shocked if any have paid a deposit or filed an entry form. Be intresting to see if it happens, and you have to admit it's great timing. It does not clash with anything here or abroad (maybe Ladoga, but i'm unsure of the dates ) People do have choice, and i would not judge those that have found there names in print on an entry list, for an event where they have not yet SEEN an entry form ! nevermind sent forms or money. I have no axe to grind and will watch with intrest. Kind regards Jim Ps: Boothy look at the bright side, your names not down
