  7. Isn't the biggest social event the Easter Jeep safari in Moab? Not sure, just what i heard. XRRA, what can you say................. Rock racing IS Offroad porn. Jim
  8. Just got the latest copy of Total offroad and imagine my suprise to see Mr Gittins ugly mug staring back at me from a FULL PAGE ADVERT For 4x4 Adventures............. Looks the bee's Knee's Jim Ps: By God he is Ugly though
  9. We thought the same Adrian, But with the mods we required it was easier to get a new one to our own spec from Richards. Imagine our suprise when after all the modifactions etc, we wieghed the beast after Galving it and found it to be 10KG lighter than a standard replacement even with the extra armour underneath. However i do not know how much heavier than a standard (If at all) it is. I will make some enquires Jim Ps: EVERY chassis i have seen from Richards is fully welded, oh and they fit, unlike some others
  10. I should not say it................. But i wonder if the OTHER event series is nearly fully booked yet And i don't mean 4x4 Adventures or Midland offroad............. Jim
  11. Ahhhh, In that case all the Richards chassis i have seen are fully welded............. Thought so, but i thought i had better ask a grown up Jim
  12. Sorry for my ignorance, but what is the difference between a stitched chassis and a fully welded chassis........? Are these not the same thing ? Jim
  13. I think there was a sort of write up on this in a recent Total Offroad mag? Price is over £100,000 if memory serves me correctly Jim
  14. If you are travelling the route used by the organising team EG: Ferry from Sett (South of France) to Morroco you will require 3 weeks in total to allow for travelling time. However if you are making your own way to Morroco then you could JUST do it in Two weeks. Its a long way Jim
  15. Hi, Waiting for a shipment of joints to arrive from the States. Should be with us early next week. Hope that helps Jim Gigglepin 4x4 01732 463600
  16. Tell her to leave you alone ! You 'ole perv Was at Pauls the other day, and got see this beast in the flesh. Awesome. Have seen shop bought ones and they look very flimsey compared to this unit. In fact so sturdy is it, that i nearly wagered that Nigel had specced the design Ace mate Jim
  17. An amazing adventure and a very well put together. With rumours of at least 2 top Aussie drivers and a heap of Dakar stars on show this really is a great event to be involed in. This truely international occasion has a fantatsic feel to it that i can not describe, you really do feel part of something very special. Sections vary from 300km gps runs across desert mountain and marsh, to short sharp rock climbing sections or long river sections with long slippery near vertical winch pulls. This event really does have everything. Expect to drive somewhere in the region of around 6/7000kms offroad in some of the most beautiful places in Northern Africa pitting your witts againist nature and get to meet and compete againist some great people. Not sure if it's your bag? Come to the briefing on the 19th January even if only for a drink. You will not regret it. Jim 2nd place. Europeon OBC 2007
