  1. Thanks for that Mo. Regarding the bracket height (55mm), is that to top of bracket itself or to the top of the rubber? Damn i wish someone sold those brackets. My fabrication skills are 'rusty' to say the least! Phil
  2. At the end of the day ALL good designs are copied. You pays yer money, you takes yer choice........
  3. At the rear of the chassis, there is a large hole where the chassis harness exits the chassis itself. Im looking for a part number for the rubber grommet that fits into this hole. Its for a 110 TD5 chassis, but it may be the same for all defenders - not sure. Cheers in advance Ralph!
  4. £1100 + sounds like a lot of money Nige, but i reckon thats actually a very reasonable quote for the amount of work being done. You defo did the right thing shelling out for the THL's.
  5. Hi Mo, Yeah if you could take a quick measure of the brackets for me, id appreciate that very much.. Nice to see you noticed my real username.... Makes it all worthwhile...
  6. I dont have the top brackets for the rad yet. I had arranged to get a V8 rad with the oil cooler attached but the deal fell through. Yes i believe the pins you see will be for a TD5 rad. Im not sure if i can use the TD5 rad. The reasons being im not sure if it has a big enough capacity to keep the RV8 cool enough, and does this rad have an oil cooler. I had originally planned in having an oil cooler for the engine and tranny.
  7. Oh bother. More welding... Dont suppose someone with a V8 could tell me what height etc the brackets would need to be?
  8. Checking through the 110 parts book, it shows that the chassis should have some kind of brackets in order to mount the radiator. As shown in the pic below, my TD5 chassis has nothing. What do i need to do / buy in order to fit the V8 radiator? Sorry for the blurry pic - but you get the idea...
  9. Thanks for all the info Paul - your a star mate.. It certainly looks from your diagrams as though the TD5 and P38 petrol pump connectors are the same. I can but hope... Once i take delivery of the chassis harness i will report back and take it from there. Fingers crossed it is, as Mo says, plug-and-play...
  10. Excellent Mo. Just what i wanted to hear. By the way - need4sped was a drunken typo when i joined. Its need4speed.......
  11. Eeeeeeeeeeeek! Wiring diagrams! My eyes - they buuuuuuuuuuuuuurrn!
  12. Ah haaa! That ties in with what has been said above, that AMR1494 is indeed a TDi part.... Shame on you microcat! Im hopeful then that the harness im waiting on will be able to plug straight onto my pump. If indeed microcat has got my chassis harness number correct, then it will already have a 4 pin connector - which is precisely what i need. Does that make sense?
  13. I really hope you are right. Should take delivery of the chassis harness in the next day or two... Fingers crossed..
  14. When you say 'TD5 plug', do you mean the chassis harness has the plug on it? In other words would the harness i have ordered YNN000151 already have it on? According to microcat it doesnt. Im at a loss here...
  15. You are perfectly correct. Im sure the 2 pin connector isnt right (AMR1494). However, im at a loss in finding one that is right. According to microcat AMR1494 is correct - but then again we all know how sh*te brilliant microcat can be at times....
  16. Two problems with that Ralph... 1. Im hopeless with devil's knitting (wiring) 2. How can i tell what pin does what in my fuel pump's electrical connection
  17. Ok. Bare with me here. As some of you know im in the middle of building a 110. It has a TD5 chassis, plastic TD5 fuel tank, but a fuel pump from a P38 RR. This is because il be running a 4.6 RV8. Now as it stands i do not have ANY wiring harnesses, however i have ordered YNN000151 YNN000151 The problem im finding difficult to resolve is wiring up my fuel pump (STC4344). Microcat shows that there should be a fuel tank harness AMR1494 that goes between the chassis harness and the fuel pump. However AMR1494 has a 2 pin electrical connection. AMR1494 Whereas my fuel pump has a 4 pin electrical connection. What do i need to do / what parts do i need in order to wire my fuel pump up?
  18. Thanks Paul. Much obliged.. I'll ignore the pun lol
  19. Thanks Paul. From your microcat, what is the part number and description of number 9 in the diagram?
  20. Im looking for a chassis harness for my 110. Would this fit a TD5? Its advertised as TD5 but when you put the part number into britcar or whatever, it shows it as a 300 TDi loom.. Chassis Harness
