ive fitted a hard top on the landy for the time being as kazi wants some dry space for when we go off.
unfortunatly it had side windows in it [but it was free]............... so i looked at buying window tinting film for the windows...... but it expensive and a nightmare to get the bubbles out.
second plan was to get a vinyl company to cut some sheets for me........ 2mm of vinyl... 2mm gap....2mm vinyl etc etc....
so basicly you have loads of stripes on a sheet.
cut them to size and apply........... quite easy because air cant get trapped.
the result is a window which is slightly coloured...ish, and inside visability is great.
i had silver........... but on reflection orange would have been better
where does the engine sit?................ when i fitted an 8 to the lt77 it was along way back......... aslo would my transfer box fit on a ZF auto?...as the ratio would be better?
have fitted an 8 before , just the autobox im unsure about ............... let us know when youve finished, and wether its worth it.
also a little concerned obout engine braking etc when off roading on steep decents.
exmoor beast............... thank goodness im not the only one i also have the world service on all night.
its nice to wake up at anytime and have someone talking to you......... makes you feel not alone when you wake up and have K snoring next to you.
been offered a v8 3.5 efi....... as ive decided to go down the v8 route..... it only gets used now and then so i think i can cope with costs.
the engine comes with a 4sp auto box and i was just wondering how much of a headache it would be to fit them both......... as im not the worlds best mechanic.
my box is currently a LT77.

a friend of mine was given a copied copy of MM for his pda ....... but when he tries to use his gps reciever with it ...... it asks for a code.
so can you only use original MM or has someone found a way around it?
unfortunatly he cant get hold of the original code.

hill n' ditch............. delamere forest............ quite small, ok for a morning, not much to test ya though
and weston coyney at stoke on trent............ tends to be full of muppets with scrap yard specials.
sorry i cant be much help
iv e changed 2 tanks now... under the drivers seat ones.
to get them out remove the brackets front and back and they should lower out, whilst you rotate them.
but they dont.
best thing is not to mess about.... use a crow bar and a large hammer to get it out....honest
and good luck on getting the new one in.
ive got long travel suspension with loads of articulation.......
which has been great until i needed change the rear wheel, with only a hi-lift to do it.......DOH!
who makes checking straps then?... other than scrapiron.
they've been doing that for a while now.......... when i was at Cowley last year most of the classy pubs had it sprayed every where......it was a nightmare.
couldn't lean against anything.
