  1. How many Landy's are due to be fixed at yours?!!! If you could have a quick look and see what you think. Don't use it that much but would be nice to get it working properly. I'm thinking the main liver is actually quite stiff and does not return to neutral, so there is probably a failure some where from over stressting the bowden cable. Cheers both of you for your help.
  2. Les, You once had a Hydraulic valve for sale. http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopi...mp;hl=hydraulic I have one of the old school ones fitted to my ex-utility 110. The incab controls don't work, but the valve on the wing does. The red cable is my incab, and the valve is mounted on the wing. My red cable is a litte loose and the valve, but it doesn't appear to want to tighten. I just wondered how the red cable worked in this unit, so I could try and repair it on mine. Does anyone else know, I guess it'a just a shuttle type cable. Any one else have the superwinch 525 hydraulic setup?
  3. But you must have the shiny new td5 funkiness.
  4. I went down the RRC LSE wheel root. £5 off ebay... and it has the cruise control butttons on, which I'm sure simon could whittle in to good use!
  5. Expect to see £110 - 130 if you fling it in ebay. That should fit most pre 200tdi defenders with the crappy four spoke wheel so is quite sort after.
  6. 110 with roofrack on, about 23-25mpg with load of survey gear in, and being driven like I stole it. Fortunately I have an AllStar fuel card.
  7. My works landy is due too be replaced in 2008 so maybe I might get one like this... either that or an L200. Quite like the idea of a 6 speed box though.
  8. Their Powder Coating is not the best quality that I've seen. I had a disco bumper that was showing rust within 6-8 months.
  9. The problem is you have to accommodate for the lowest common denominator. With my new shiny EA Hat on, if the debate is banning offroading on byways, then you just need to see the mess that illegal offroading has done to the local byways. We have an stone bridge, ford and nice little byway round this way that has been trashed by 4x4s water splashing and hacking their own paths. How can you differentiate between someone who will tread lightly and someone who has no care for the environment? These activities cannot be easily policed, so it's easier to just ban everyone. Now Urban 4x4s... Even with my EA hat on, I like my landy, and I want to keep it. I pay a premium for the fuel I use, and I don't see why they need to be shunned aside. (BTW I didn't email this!)
  10. 50p says its a high jacked ebay account. Hence the don't ask seller question else it goes through his email address, go and email this completely different address.
  11. Stick a RR LSE classic wheel on. Mucho cheaper, and plush leather. When you pass next ralph, you'll have to pop in and grab your puller!
  12. I have used www.postvan.com several times. I have moved a full disco roofrack, various winch bumpers gear boxes and all sorts with them. You do need to phone them though for a 'Special Quote'. Typically £30-50 for that sort of thing.
  13. They had several or so lined up all over the place, think they must just be general service vehicles. Here's another by a small pile of chippings.
  14. I was driving through the quarry the other day and saw loads of these... Looked rather mean I thought.
  15. Living near Tellford his house is probably worth less than the Freelander.
  16. I have one of those too! H268 BHT Been with Sweb , Western Power, Cornwall Search and Rescue Group, and now me.
  17. Two options. LR4x4 relay... or maybe www.postvan.com I have a gear box and transfer box that I need to move from Cornwall to Norwich and Bedford. Will probaly use postvan to pallet them.
  18. Yeah, but I could let that piccy go to waste
  19. We had an excellent weekend, bar the tragidy that happened Sunday morning. Lots of pics we took are here: On Orrp
  20. Whilst the 200tdi engine has remarkable fuel consumption, you still need some diesel for it to go forwards. BTW, that is a Chevy V8 towing us
  21. Working in cornwall. (Not from cache)
