All being well the forum will move to its new server this Friday 23rd September.
Whilst the move is taking place the forum will (should?) still be available but only to view as we wouldn't want to loose any posts. The transfer should be completed in 2-3hours and once complete www.LR4x4.com will take you straight there.
If it all goes horribly wrong we will just reopen the current forum and go away to sulk
I would have liked to give you all a definate time when this will occur but best I can get at the moment is between 09:00 and 20:00 EDT (or 14:00 and 01:00 BST). Bit like waiting for that plumber.
Used the AA several times now
Thye've actually been ok even shipping the truck all the way to Somerset when I dropped the cambelt a couple of miles from home in Pompey.
Used them again a couple of weeks back when the lift pump decided it would rater pump the diesel onto the road (most impressed with the quick metal, must get some).
I guess they'll have stockpiled enough TD5s to keep them going for a while but would think a transit engine is prime candidate if the Defender is continued. TDV6 sounds nice but hard to imagine them putting that in a Defender.
OK, more progress. The new server is now set up with the latest release of the forum s/w and a restored backup of all our threads and posts form a couple of days ago.
The mods and admins are checking it out (and enjoying the fast search facilities) before we try to set a final cut over date. URL will remain www.LR4x4.com
It's not going to be ready for collection before early 2006 so would that would give you enough time to extend the shed?

Probably not having looked at the ..brochure

Adam,
you'll find just by linking to your site from here in your sig will, in time as this site becomes better indexed, help your rankings anyway. However an area or thread for members to show of their site is a good one. We should probably also have somewhere to introduce ourselves and show of our landy's.
Now that things are settling down the other thing this forum needs are lots of links too it. While we have a good community here it is hard for new members to find us.
So, not your money, but if you have a web site could you help by linking to:
www.LR4x4.com
Thanks
Thanks Todd.
having to find a new name hasn't helped but at least we have one piece in place. Hopefuly Michele will be along soon with the logo and some smaller images we can put on our web sites.
Hosting is moving along but time diffference between here and VA makes the dialogue rather stilted. Still waiting on them loading in all our data so the mods can take a look see.
Glad you found us Smitty
It's going to take a while to get this forum as well known as our previous home so if any of you have a web site and could put a link to www.LR4x4.com that would be great.
This is looking interresting. Pics and part numbers would be of interrest to a lot of us I'm sure.
Re posting pics there is a good thread Steve has made sticky in the Disco forum.
Did 200's come with aircon? I'm pretty sure my 200 has the timing case casting to accept an aircon but its not beeen tapped and prepped like my disco?
Will, have you needed to do a first layer pull often since putting the 6HP on?
I found mine performed fine at Slindon (though I did have to bypass the isolator atfer it burnt out).
