  1. Michele, how about just simply using 'LR4x4' or 'LR4x4.com' in a distinct font (maybe similar to the font used by LR for their model name). We can then reuse the brand name with other material on itesm like mugs or t-shirts but the label will always appear the same. Can you do chrome letters? Might be nice and bling for the new forum.
  2. Nick, we moved to the new provider Friday and Geoff's logo hasn't been moved across yet. We're rather hoping to get a new shiney one from Michele soon but failing that we'll put Geoff's back. Anyone got a better logo?
  3. Ooh, that has to be the nicest RR ever
  4. Fortunately I didn't notice the drum was missing until I was well into doing a xfer box change (just assumed the lack of handrake was down to mud and bad adjustment!!) so never had to source a replacement.
  5. Do you mean the handbrake drum? If so I've lost one of those too, never even heard it come off. I alays put the flange nuts back on now when running without the prop and even have a spare prop flange to take up the slack, Not that I run propless often
  6. What, both of them called Nogrod at school!
  7. Just here to help. Thanks everyone for the early feedback. I've uped PM storage to 500 for everyone so that should please DarthDicky and me at least. And thanks to Moglite I've gone looking and found where the topic cut off date was set and hopefuly cleared this on all the forums.
  8. Well while I might not be eligable for other HBRO events but I think that the membership is fair game given all the effort they put into the event organisation and marshalling. And if Nige does another in the spring we get two Mike Wolfe's for the cost of one years membership. Hope to do this one but no idea about team mate yet.
  9. Thanks for the feedback Andy. I think there will be a few things we can tweak over the comming weeks and new features to get to grips with. For now though I'm just relieved that we have a stable platform at last to take the forum forward on. An end to double posts one hopes and the many other sundry errors we've all had to tolerate.
  10. Ah, that one. Yes it bugs me too so that should be pretty high on our list
  11. DD, well very relieved someone got here and managed to post so thanks WRT to the PM box there's a little '+' tab in the bottom left of the text box. Clicking it enlarges the text box. Same facility seems to be there in these reply boxes. We stuck with the same IPB software but just changing versions means there are still new features and changes we will be getting used too. Mind, nice to have the search back.
  12. Mine came about because I wanted a short domain name when someone wanted to start charging me for trevor@usa.net
  13. OK, well I'm pretty stuck trying to put a message on the old board but I see some of you have just cliecked the links and ended up here. There will be loose ends to tidy up so if you see anything funny post up and we'll try and get them sorted. Oh, and WELCOME
  14. Well, 90mins later we have the data onthe new server and things are looking OK.
  15. OK guys n gals. Short notice but the US are now awake and ready to help with the transfer. In a moment (minutes) I'll be taking this board off line to perform the backups and prevent posts or registrations while the transfer is taking place. All being well in 3-4 hours you'll find yourselves in our new, slightly more modern home.
  16. Yeh, that had me intrigued and it can't have been warm with ice that thick either. But what a classic ...
  17. Hope you like the new home Drongo But did you consider the neighbours?
  18. Have you got that fag packet the right way up?
  19. Might also be worth checking with KAM as the diff centre is I think still being used in the mil santana (but now mounted in a removable pumpkin).
  20. Si, I think the flaw in this is you are reliant in the rivnut not revolving so that it can be screwed in by the bolt. By using the three handed approach with the sleeve and threaded nut you are turning the nut against the bolt to compress the rivnut and it doesn't really matter too much if the rivnut revolves while you are doing this. Not sure why you need to hold the sleeve though. I'd have thought a two handed approach with a rachet spanner on the nut (which you wind in to compress the rivnut) and a simple spanner to stop the bolt turning would be a pretty quick simple approach. Of course I've never done this but that's how I understand it.
  21. Adam, just make the url in your sig clicky. Though being able to use your existng webspace to host linked images is useful and worth trying to get resolved (esp ifyou're paying good money for it).
  22. Sorry Gary, don't have a freelander. Neighour does, glossy back sport model, but doesn't seem keen to bring it out to play
  23. And did the seats look any cleaner after? (all the excuse Guy ever needed to just go for it with his usual flair and full throttle!)
