  1. any info on Cruise control for a 110 td5?
  2. good find, haven't bolt my rear tub down yet so have access. i guess you cut the nipple off and pass the tube down through the tube into the tank? that way it's a continuos pip and just requires sealing around the top? I'd like to stick the pipe in for my extra heater now so i can finish it later on.
  3. yes, it's in the classifieds on here aswell I like the look of the puma dash...ali version would be nice in a defender
  4. Keep it up!......would love to see a decent dash with ventilation, storage and access
  5. i wanted a double cab initially. BUT i've decided on the SW you get a rear storage area, cheaper parts.
  6. keep an eye on ebay. there have been a few mot failiars 200 tdi discos recently. buy the lot
  7. I'll be there....just uop the road and all
  8. DON'T buy the bearmach ones......carp. Genuine only if you require half a sealed door
  9. I'd MIG weld if you can't TIG weld very wel. If you pulse the MIG wire in and lay it on evenly then you wil get the same results as the cage builders.
  10. trying to wear out his hip jionts in order to fit some X-Hips???? Boys weekend away by any chance........And what goes on tour stays on tour!
  11. Correctamondo....nobody in the UK has a bath that big! shame though, did consider it for mine
  12. If your down pop in and have a play.We have a Migatronic PI 200 acdc 240v set which we use exclsively for alloys. My fave is the 300 amp synergic MIG. It will even pulse in a bead to look like TIG work!!!! great for land rover Fabs http://www.migatronic.com/default.aspx?m=2&i=171
  13. No such option here...fully auto on the PI! Self senseing even down to polarity so now need to swith the pos and neg around on the front of the set! I have been spoiled. Most new ,decent, TIG sets are fully auto now. Tried the Kempiis aswell but price has alot to do with most purchases i beliveve. Some ggod second hand, read repossed, plant around at the mo. Try some of the online plant sales auctions.
  14. We got an ACDC migatronic Pi 200 thats 240v. $$$'s for sure. Whats continuous HF? You mean a latched button? By nature the current switches between ac/dc so i'm stumped.
  15. Tig sets require a nice steady power supply. In my experience running a high amperage set of a genny will cause the set to fail. So set are "gen safe " but not the best. Whats wrong with a 240v set apart from cost!?
  16. No diagonals at all. Will just fold if flopped on it's side. And it's £1200!
  17. works ok in my 90. low range first gear crawls around all day. As for the stalling when pulling away, i let the clutch up before accelorating and have no problems.
  18. Khumo KL71... 235.85.16's £300 delivered off ebay. great tyres.
  19. how few parts can you break a 90, my 90!, down into so that it savesa recinstruction time. My chassis on my 90's going rusty and before it gets a problem i'd like to strip it down and get it galved. Or would it be better to have another one to swap onto, bearing in mind all the mods i've had done?
  20. yeh right. you try getting copy right on a product like this
  21. This has been done in the VW world for a few years now. Immobiliser defeats and switching off of the external can bus options like the air con, abs, tsc etc. I have witnessed a very clever american guy reading the hexidecimal code for a vw engine and changing the code to switch the imobilser etc off. Good luck with this, my ideal landover, just with the auto and the suspension from a D3 aswell!
  22. TD5's will wade alot more than 500mm. BUT the ecu is under your seat! 500mm for a standard lr is enough to get through. whats the fasination with getting wet anyway? most people don't like going through a puddle in there euro boxes and there alot more water tight than a land rover!
  23. i've been pulled in my gti for having xenon headlights and they are factory fitted! "headlights are bright sir.....same as yours officer....goodevening!" They cycle through the full movenment range on start up dependant on the height of the suspension. this is done so that they don't blind people when you have a load in the back. Retro fitting them carries the same rules as factory fit. IF your are stopped you will have to produce and have the car tested at an MOT centre. A better and legal option would be to have HID / xenon spot and fog lamps fitted like steveg.
