  2. diesel frozen up? has warmed up a little, could have some water in the filter that froze? spray all the connectors with wd40 etc to expel any moisture.
  3. thats ok then. used the gearing calc on 33" tyres. So she'll be slightly under geared for towing and being loaded up. this is a road biased 110 with miles in mind!
  4. any leaked sketches of the "new" defender due in 2013? if it's based on D3 as they say and keeps a little boxyness it'll be a winner
  5. Cool, i've been running 235/85/16 kl 71's on the 90. want a little more ground clearance in the 110. If i can go up on tyres and not change the transfer box to a disco one then thats a result. whats the next size up from the ones i have?
  6. can someone advise me on what gearbox and transfer box i have? 99/00 td5 90 truck cab? i know its a r380 and a lt230 but what suffix? also what are my diff ratios? 2005 110 4 pin 110 axles? i have transfered this set up into my 110, want to know what size tyres to buy, gonna give the new BFG KM2's a go,to get me a better top end/cruising speed. the td5 will be getting mapped and a hybrid turbo as they are poor off boost. want to get a larger tyre for ground clearance without over gearing.
  7. I'd rather be on insas the AT's in the snow. they bite in to the deep stuff.....and pulled a few lorries out earlier this year.
  8. As bish says.a standard 90 is 1 wheel drive untill the cente lock is engaged, then there 2 wheel drive, a locked rear diff makes 3 wheel drive and a pair of locked diffs makes 4 wheel drive! thats why LR put traction control as an option.
  9. It's here! can't wait fo the drive to Poole in the morning ....going in the scooby....landys in bits
  10. Insa turbo specal tracks are even better in the deep stuff!

  20. radstock colledge has a very good welding section.
  21. the ppc cage for a 110 looks quiet strong to me, if the external wing bits go right down to the outrigger then thats as good as it gets IMO You can go internal climbing frame but not practical.
