  1. Are you referring to ontop of the wheels
  2. sorry, i probably wrote that wrong. when i mean 2 lambda readings - i'm referring to when i wish to change the gauges in megatune (there is a pageful of gauges that can be displayed - which one do i choose ?). i'm running a map from Nige so everything will be the same as everyone else on here G P.S. But yes... i agree.... at initial startup the lambda does nothing, i was just trying to get up gauges that i knew i had sensors for
  3. Haven't touched it again yet. Coolant and air temp looked ok. Which lambda gauge should i be looking at lambda1 (stays at 1.9 iirc) or lambda2 (stays at 1.0 iirc but needle does fluctuate) although surely it's not running long enough to heat up etc ? How can i be sure the VR is reading correctly ? G
  4. cheers, i'll give them a ring on monday to check the price. G
  5. Afternoon, We have a few calipers from a 90/110 (the ones with 46mm pistons) that suit solid discs. I would like to put these onto a vented disc. Looking at the attached picture, it looks like it's just a spacer plate in the middle...is this so ? and if so, can you get it seperately with a rebuild kit ? Cheers Gordon
  6. It dies if i rev it. And it ran eariler this week when it was below 0, it's warmed up since then I'll have a fiddle tomorrow
  7. the later rrc's take the oil through the radiator. same as the auto fluid - it passes through the radiator and then through the bog brush. on a p38 both the engine and gearbox have their own big cooler at the front. G
  8. Hmmm...... my offroader got jealous of me working (tarting up) my p38 today....lovely heated seats once more So because of this childish jealousy it refuses to start ! It's been running fine the last few days, but today i took it out the unit parked it up... then came to put it back and it was "out of fuel" ... oh ***** So fill it back up with a jerry can and start cranking. Would start and run for 5 sec's or so then die. Sounds like running out of juice ? I've plugged in the laptop and reloaded my latest map just incase. Drained the swirl pot and got a few little grains of dirt out..hmmmm ???? Opened the discharge of the fuel filter and switched on the pump to find fuel coming out. Taken the return pipe off the return rail (after the standard rv8 pressure reg) and whilst running / cutting out still getting flow. I didn't have a spare filter to put on it to see if that helped nor did i have a gauge to check my fuel pressure but any guesses ? If the pressure was low, would i still get flow back through the fuel pressure regulator. Thoughts ? apart from scrap yard tomorrow !
  9. A p38's chassis narrows though doesn't it ? (must look when i'm next under it!). The best method in a series, is to move the front x member forward and stick to a normal def / disco / rrc setup. Gordon
  10. I've taken the poly bushes out my challenge truck and gone back to normal landrover ones with a couple holes drilled in....A lot more movement. (never driven it on a tarmac road, so can't comment on handling). Old man emu springs are very nice Got mine from Gwyn Lewis. He can supply all you need. G
  11. That will have the p38 4.0 won't it ? IF so, they're made to run hot to get around the emissions etc 96 deg iirc, but don't quote me on that. The thermostat is in a little bowl on the bottom hose of the rad. I've heard of people opening that up and replacing for a lower temperature version - how successful, and to what effect i don't know. G
  12. It might be more than "just" a headgasket. Have a look around on the forum for slipped liners. I've done my HG's on my 4.6 and it's pretty much the same as every other engine (just twice lol). G
  13. Afternoon, Just wondering if anyone knows where i can find some wheel centres here in the UK ? For a 16.5" rim. (or 17 ?) Will be to suit jap 6 stud pattern. 139.7 x 6 Cheers Gordon
  14. You put a fuel filter in your wifes blender !!!! Nice knowing you In my "dirty" diesel days, i would drop down to about 30/70 veg in the middle of winter compared to 50/50 for the rest. Running various mitsubishi paj's. G
  15. What is the difference between this years and the new format ? I see about the helmets. Is there a spec that these have to be to ? Cheers Gordon
  16. Blend motor problem like the p38's ??? search rangerovers.net for more info. Gordon
  17. It's heard that you're getting rid of it for a bigger one, so it's sulking
  18. Cheers. But i'm trying not to spend "too" much
  19. Cheers. My current cage is 2", but for my next vehicle i'll be making the entire chassis / cage. I'm undecided between a pro tools 105 HD or a JD2 ? I have used a pro tools 105 brute here at work and find it pretty easy...but not touched a JD2, although in pictures they look very similar. G
  20. Morning, I'm sorting myself out a tube bender at the moment but wonder what size dies are worth getting. I know i'll need 50.8mm for 2" cds 2.64mm wall. What do people normally make hoops for shocks out of ? 1 1/2" ? Dies aren't cheap so don't wish to get the wrong size Cheers Gordon
  21. Sorry, totally forgot to write that part. This is the auto gearbox cooler i'm on about.
  22. Hi, I've got myself a P38 4.6 oil cooler to use in my offroader but was wondering if anyone knew what size union they are so i can sort some fittings out ? When i've stripped my p38 i seem to recall them going in with an O ring ? Cheers Gordon
