  1. Cheers for the useful replies In reply to the emco above, we had small V13 back home G
  2. Morning, Ok, when i was a youngster i grew up in my parents factory where they had lathes etc etc etc... But that was years ago, and all that left behind. I don't have a scooby do on how to use a lathe ! But would like to learn. So..... does anybody in the North West have any suggestions on where you can do part time / night lessons at a college / school ??? I work 3 week shifts away from home. Secondly... being a stubborn git, i'd like to buy a little lathe that i can bugger around with myself. What would you suggest I look at ? I'm limited to single phase electrics. Say £500 - £800. Thoughts so far - ML7, super 7, boxfords ? Cheers Gordon
  3. I'm still new to the workings of MS, but isn't the bosch valve closed at 25% of 100%. Looking at your screen dump you have 50% of 200. Which is theoretically the same ? G
  4. I have a P38 steering box in the workshop, i'll count up the splines for you later. Gordon
  5. hmmm.... 3weeks ago i drove down to work on a really cold, wet miserable night ! after about 4 hours on the road my SRS airbag light came on ???? god knows why ! maybe not connected to the following problem ! ? So i get in it last night after it's been parked up for 3 weeks and it would not start. Eventually it fired up, but sounded like it was running on about 1 cylinder ????? Left it a short while, switched off, tryed again - same. Next thing i did was fire it up on LPG. I have a single point system using a gas ring in the air inlet - and it ran fine Drove 260 miles last night without a problem. Tryed swapping to petrol when i stopped once, and it would not fire up ??? I have not checked anything yet but any thoughts ??? I'm thinking about checking injector plugs then fuel supply / pressure first of all...after that ??? G
  6. the front chassis is a different shape on the P38 compared to a 'normal' LR (i.e. steering box on the outside). G
  7. For your info the axle, tf box and gearbox fittings are all 1/8bsp. You'll be able to find fittings and some pipe cheap Gordon
  8. i run a swirl pot and it's run at some silly angles ! i.e. oil light flickering on

    Heated Seats

If you read the link above, it'll show you which 2 plugs you can check continuity on. And i'll put money it's the seat base which is buggered. Get some hog ring pliers and rings...or you will not be able to strip / reassemble the seat ! Took me an hour per seat from start to finish. IIRC, i got about 1ohm resistance on the seat base. G
  17. I thought about using a LHD hub, but wasn't sure on where to find one. It's not road legal however 'll have a mechanical link to stay in class 2 G ...and no it's not rear steer. i've got mog's which are going rear steer
  18. Evening, I'm looking for some pictures of people if they've put high steer arms on a LR axle This is for full hydraulic, not hydro assist. Just a little idea that i'm playing with Cheers Gordon
  19. You can't search by pressure range, only by car model. I found those manually when i was looking for a sender for my accumulator. Hope they help G
