miketomcat Posted March 9 Share Posted March 9 The volts guage has started reading really high, the alternator is putting out 14.5v as normal and the battery system seems to be working as normal including correct voltage on the back of the guage. I'm assuming the guage has gone belly up for some reason unless I'm missing something or it's an easy fix. Any ideas or do I just need a new guage. miketomcat Posted March 9 Author Share Posted March 9 Land rover volt guage in the 110. Measuring on the back I have 14.5v but the guage is reading off the scale. Mike If the alternator is only putting out the 14.5v, then a higher indication must be the gauge faulting. I’d be inclined to disconnect it, as an internal fault could potentially lead to a fire. Isn’t 14.5v still a little high, though? I thought 13.8 - 14 was about normal.
