JST
just some simple ideas to make life a little easier: a net on the bonnet to stick strops and other light items under between stages: and a slightly different approach to a winch hook on the cage, two exhasut clamps (52mm) bolted back to back witha small plate. save welding onto the cage, removable if needed and can be fitted anywhere onto the cage for less than £
SteveG
Good idea on the exhaust clamps James The best use I've seen for the bonnet net is to stick your plasma into between punches to save winding it back on and then off the winch drum on each use. Turbocharger
The best use I've seen for the bonnet net is to stick your plasma into between punches to save winding it back on and then off the winch drum on each use. A big favourite with us Milemarker boys (I thought I'd get in there before someone else did) I have an idea along yr lines James - watch this space. will_warne
James, the bonnet nets a good idea, I've got one but I've not got round to fitting it. I'm about to do something with a wing mounted winch hook but it'll be designed not to damage anything if the cable gets tight
BogMonster
Digger90 could put one of them rings on his roof and use it to pull the truck cab back into place I wind my plasma round the spotlights if I need to get it out of the way for a moment - try doing that with wire rope B)
MogLite
I'm about to do something with a wing mounted winch hook but it'll be designed not to damage anything if the cable gets tight That is the challenge I face with MogLite, driving off with the PTO engaged and changing the wheelbase
will_warne
Andy, my first thought was use plastic nuts (like the ones used to hold number plates on), now I'm thinking of using a couple of the rubbers used to mount the air filter box attached to a U shaped peice of stainless bar with a female thread in each prong. simonr
What about putting a switch on it so that if the hoop bends, it sounds the horn / cuts engine / connects HT to steering wheel? Si
will_warne
The problem's that its an 8274 so if it cuts out when the hook begins to bend it'll be too late
Mark90
Zip ties or gaffa tape. Works for everything else on a a LR.
