white90
02GF74 have you been asleep? have a look at his signature on one of his posts. The only explanation I can see is Nick got the points for the compulsory section, recovering a dead vehicle. surley both cars should have the points? as it had to be a team effort to recover the dead one. ltwt1981
Looking at the summary, one got the compulsory section and one the quiz score, it wouldn't make any difference which got what as its a team event anyway.
Tangoman
Tony, That does seem mad, points system odd not intrested in separate scores as we were a team and that's the only score that matters. But as has been said i am not complaining as had a fantastic weekend roll on the next one. And I lasted more than the first hour

I ended up getting about 7 or 8 more punches than Si and there's only a couple of hundred points between us Anyway, we both had fun and didn't pick up any serious damage so I'm happy. Hybrid_From_Hell
<sigh> Pay attention you lot http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=3603 Yes, the scores. ou ahve guessed it... It IS a team event, but we have a series of LINES for each entrnat scoring on the punches, at the end of these lines is if you like "Punch 81"... For one driver we placed in the score for the team effort of the quiz. this is a CREDIT ie points gained...everyone handed in the quizes, some of the answwers werre ahem "Interesting" The other line was then a DEBIT - ie the pentaly time taken converted into points for the mandatory sections. The 2 extra scores here added means if to drivers in a team did EXACTLY the same punches with the column 81 / mandatory and quizes added to Drivers 1 2 then the individual scores would appear tottaly different... It is a team event, I don't really wnat to have to recalc the scores excluding mandatory sections and quizes, all I can say is that this is software from Paul W tested a few times and co Chris W, and we have equally altered it but tested the hell out of it pre the event ! With the above explaination this should now make sesne ? Sorry, off to bed again, I am dying and dripping over the keyboard again. Nige nige, firstly thanks for a great day, i know this would be more work for you, but could you let me or everbody know how many punches they got, i just wanted to work out if we didnt do enough or just that most got the sameones, cheers
Paul Wightman
Nige, as Ripley says, it would be interesting to see the scoring spreadsheet. Would help explain the scores and show the punches that not many got which must be where good scores were gained. It does take a bit of thought to get ones head round the scoring but you have to score each vehicle if you do not insist on both vehicles gaining each punch. As said by others the individual score may be of interest but the team score is the one that counts. It would shut Nick up as well! He's been like a cow with three udders since Monday!
