Will they be able to reuse the fittings from the new pipes I ordered

but made to fit

or will it be all brand new?

I'm thinking an Agricultural specialists may be able to help get one sorted?

Fittings in good useable condition should be capable of being fitted to new hoses no problem. The law now says though, that hoses themselves cannot be re-terminated. As a result, you may find some companies are unwilling to use old components. There should not be a problem in getting new fittings the same. We had some made at work recently, including a 1950's odd french fitting. They'll find them new, dont worry.

There is a big sign in HypHose about re-ending hose or re-using fittings (apart from those specifically designed to be undone & re-made) the gist of it being "No, so don't ask". There is also a picture of what's left of someone's arm/hand that was near a hose when it failed. Even badly photocopied black & white it's enough to put you off your lunch.

As has been said, there's pretty much nothing they won't be able to match the thread for, last set of PAS hoses I had made cost £25 all in brand new, so why prat about?

when I did my oil cooler pipes I cut the fittings out of some old pipes, bought a couple of metres of hose from pirtek and a few of the crimp on collars - didn't cost much, and has been absolutely fine - the pressure is fairly low in the cooler pipes.

Fridge I am not Pratting about I just don't want to get there and they say o no we don't have those fittings , if you had brought yours along we could have used them.

This isn't hydraulic pressure it is oil pressure.

Thanks for you words of advice otherwise.

Thread closed now I have some ideas

And yes I could call them but what do I describe the sodding fittings I have to see if they stock them...

as was suggested and subsequently deleted by me.
