BogMonster
I reckon it is a picture of a Merc G-wagen which has been Photoshopped with some vaguely Landrovery front end bits side windows, door handles etc are pure G-wagen not sure about the styling but it could be a lot worse! edited to say yes def a Photoshop job, put it in to Paint Shop Pro or something and wind up the gamma correction then look at the RH front tyre.... JST
not sure about that, ask DSN, hes seen one? so Dan does it look like that?
DSN
The one I saw looked standard on outside apart from bonnet where it bulges to fit different engine. Inside were main changes but won't say anything here as pics not released. Obviously it was a prototype so exterior may change. Don't think they have made representative bodied vehicles yet though. Will have to see whats around in the next few months. A colleague was at Eastnor on Tuesday testing defenders but guess they were again mules. Anglo-Frenchman
I'm minded to ask the question - 'Who would bother mocking up the original picture?' - Whats the motive?
Hillbilly Raider
I found it on the D90Source and i am led to believe it is also doing the rounds on some of the German forums as well.
BogMonster
OK o Ye of little faith.... Here is a gamma'ed version of the image Note the fact that the suspension has inadvertently been pasted over the top of the front RH tyre They should send whatever the real one is here to test it. We will break them anyway, so we might as well do it now so they know what to fix before selling them for real
Hillbilly Rebel
Dont like it wether its real or not! (MPO)
MarkieB
The angles of the front bumper on the fake are wrong, too, the way it juts on the LHS [driver's viewpoint] doesn't fit, it's as though the bumper photo was taken from a different angle. One of the main ways of identifying fake photos is that the shadows don't match up; clearly the way the RHS of the front is highlit, while the RHS of the vehicle is in shade, is wrong; although vaguely possible in a studio, then superimposed on an outdoor background, often seen nowadays.
