Steering Guard

Recommended Posts

My recommendation would be don't bother and just fit the heavy duty rods.

If you drive in mud they act like a plough - they don't protect the track rod from impact, often the drag link can still be impacted behind the back edge - and they offer no protection to the rods of course from impacts on the wheels.

Morning chaps, many thanks for your replies.

What I'm actually looking for is experience of front guards for the drag link and steering damper and I didn't make that clear in my first post, doh! ;)

Going without is a no-no, I've walloped this area to many times in the past :)

So, what looks good, what's well engineered, what fits a treat, whats incredibly strong, whats competitively priced ? Tell me whats good and help me avoid spending money on carp :)

I already have a track rod guard and the old track rod has been replaced with a sumo bar.
