Me: Just an '84 Ninety, an MGTF (somebody needs to cut hair...) and a Volvo S40 for the missus.

Dad's collection is silly though. In ascending order of stupidity: Jeep Patriot, Chrysler Crossfire, Volvo 240, Volvo 480, 1981 LR S3 SWB, Ford Scorpio, 1948 Ford (Willys?) Jeep, 1942 GMC CCKW, 1944 GMC DUKW. And just four are on the road, with two MOTs between the lot.

Relatively sane at the moment:

110 working

Mini Cooper working

Series 2, running but SORN'd, needs some fettling to pass an MOT, about a good weekends worth of welding and electrickery I'd say ;)

At one stage I had five Land Rovers on the go, my 110, a Series 3 SWB station wagon, a P38 4.0SE, a busted V8 Disco and a working 300TDi Disco. This was deemed to many apparently, so we sold the P38 and the S3, scrapped the V8 Disco...then bought a Freelander because I hated the derv Disco and refused to fix it anymore.

I was fiercely tempted by a LPG'd V8 Discovery a few days ago, then looked at my bank account and decided to go and do the invoicing I've been putting off doing instead of wasting time on the autotrader website.

Will :)

Crikey, I'll have to show Mrs PB this, as she thought I have a problem. Currently my fleet is:

1 x 1999 Discovery Td5 (Mrs PB's D Driver)

1 x 1999 406 (My D Driver)

1 x 2000 Chevy 3500 HD resto project

1 x 1997 Chevy K3500 breaker

But my personal best was:

3 x Mk1 Escort (RS2000, 1300L, 1100L)

2 x Mk2 Granada (2.8 Ghia X + 2.8i Ghia X)

1 x Mk1 Sierra 2.0is

At that point Mrs PB said I couldn't buy any more cars, so I came home with a free P100. I made up for that by selling the P100 and buying an engagement ring! Yes I was a Ford fan!

23!!!!!! 'kin 'ell!!

In 21 years of driving I have only been without a Landrover for a year, that was when learning to drive in a Fiesta. Since then have been driving proper cars :i-m_so_happy:

First a Series III 88", sold after buying my

Ninety V8, which I still have in daily use.

Then came a Series II wreck to restore and enjoy for many years with its V8 and rag top. This was sold to make way for a

RRC Vogue SE, also still in near daily use.

So, as you can see, only 2 on the road at any time.

At various times others have entered the fold - a 1992 RRC which was only ever a source of parts. That stayed around for nearly two years before I sent it over the weighbridge to the great scrapyard in the sky ; also I was donated a 109" Series III by an (ex)friend of the parents, alas it really was only good for weighing in, but it still hung around for a lot longer than the parents wanted

If I am looking to claim extras I can include the Series IIA my sister had before her Disco 1. They get dumped on me to fix so I'll call them mine for now. Then there's Mum's succession of one 90 and two 110 Defenders over the last 23 years.

A proper Landrover family I would say.

Now if I could persuade Pops to swap his Merc for a nice Rangey...
