stuck Posted February 10, 2012 Share Posted February 10, 2012 Gent's, I'm aiming to convert the viscous fan on my 4.6 110 to twin electric fans tomorrow & could do with knowing the correct quantity of antifreeze. Stuck: Presumably your 4.6 wasn't fitted to your Defender as standard, so I'd be looking at the manual for the car it came out of. Presumably a Range Rover. DagdaNI Posted February 11, 2012 Share Posted February 11, 2012 tbh id just go the 5 litres again get it run up and test it, i wouldnt rekon youd be far off other option (as said already) is fill it totally with water while measuring amount run up to temp with heaters turned to hot check for leaks, this way you know its all good and antifreeze amount needed but as said id go lazy man option Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Spearos Posted February 13, 2012 Share Posted February 13, 2012 I pre mix my anti freeze in a 5l container, 3 parts anitfreeze and 2 parts water gives me a 60/40 mix.
