Fitting Sumo Bars

stuck

Recommended Posts

Gent's,

Received my Sumo bars today (Excellent service from Mr Lewis) & I'm trying to get them on tonight.

Unlike the original bars the nuts that lock the TRE into the tapers aren't castellated and the TRE's aren't drilled to accept split pins.

Does anyone know the torque setting that should be used?

Thanks,

Mick.

Forgive my ignorance but wtf is a sumo bar? ....other than a drinking establishment for over-weight japanese men...

Edit: ok yes found them at the bottom of the google page, below the aforementioned drinking establisments ;)

Just put mine on but then found the track rod protector (that bolts into the diff casing) won't fit. The gap is big enough for the bar but when it's bolted on it's too high for the bar to go in.

I've left it off at the moment and aim to either get a better guard or get a large spacer made.

Malcolm
