chris200100
I'm thinking of fitting a CB to my 110, I know nothing about CB's can anyone give some info what to get? And where from? Cheers Chris
Shax
It would depend on what you want the CB for.. Simple comms between vehicles in a convoy, or SSB freebanding?? And budget also has a lookin. How much do you want to spend? Truck King, Rocket Radio, Radiozing, Moonraker all supply decent kit. Give them a Google. Mines a CRE 8900, all singing bells and whistles radio.

chris200100
Cheers will have a look at those, only really going to be used for offroading mainly. Budget wise I have no idea how much these cost. What sort of features am I to look for as I'm a CB virgin and know nothing about them
Shax
EU and UK frequencies, more if you don't mind skirting the legalities (??).. SSB (sideband) is nice, but not legal yet... Unless you are a licenced radio amateur, and use the 10M band.. The most important item will be the antenna... A 2 foot antenna will get a mile or so, whereas a 7 foot helical will get you out much much further... Plenty of decent kit out there, buy what fits your budget and the hole in the dash! Keep it simple, don't worry too much about bells and whistles on the radio if you are only using it for offroading.
CwazyWabbit
I've dealt with the guy who runs http://www.4x4cb.com/ and he is really helpful and there is a lot of advice on his site. Worth ringing him up and having a chat, he won't rip you off.

DrRob
I use this type of cheap 2 way radio as it means I don't have to fit a cb or an antenna - less to attract thieves! Can buy in packs of 2 or 4 and they work with other brands of 2 ways. http://www.maplin.co.uk/cobra-mt200-pmr-two-way-radios-518305

bishbosh
Thunderpole are another one to check out. I would also consider one bell / whistle - a loud speaker function - effectively a magaphone for shouting at people who are outside the vehicle - quite useful to be able to make yourself heard over the noise of your engine.
