CwazyWabbit
I wonder what voltage it works on? ... could result in some interesting wading......
Landy'd Gentry
Mmmm, Land Rover + water ingress + wading + electric motor? Not a good idea I think rather than go heavy electric batteries andelectric motor, what about other technologies like hydrogen fuel cells?Still can go wading, not as heavy, but I appreciate the technology is quite there yet. mmgemini
There's some, read one, built as game vieweing vehicles for a South African lodge on the 130, 300 chassis. Is this just a re-bodied newer one ?

FridgeFreezer
Don't see why wading would be an issue, far simpler to waterproof than a "normal" engine that needs air & fuel & exhaust & drive belts & a sump full of oil... also it will run happily at any angle. I'd quite like one, although with the usual electric-vehicle caveat of "when they invent a proper battery to rival a tank of fuel".

TheRecklessEngineer
I love the idea, and agree with FF - easier than a normal engine with a little planning. I love the idea of a electric car full stop actually, however biodiesel still has the edge on cost per mile, particularly considering the initial investment (unless you get lucky in a scrapyard - looking at you SimonR!)
