gomotomoto
Can anyone point me in the direction of a nice and tidy webasto 2000 air heater install? Going to tackle this project and think it might be helpful to see someone's approach to it first.
miketomcat
I fitted a eberspacher d1lc in my tomcat and then my 110 if that's any help I would recommend fitting a separate dip pipe shorter than the engine dip pipe or a separate fuel tank. Team Idris
Biggest trouble for me on the eber has always been voltage, so big cables are a must on 12 volt. (both live and earth). Choice on the fresh air intake of; Inside to have more heat, (re-circ) or outside to pull fresh air (drier air) I currently run a lock-gate stove which changes the air via the chimney, so I'll recommend the outside air intake, as long as it's away from your exhaust pipe exit Never seen a step by step install though, so can't help there... Anderzander
I've thought about where to put one in my 90 and not settled on where. The seat box is an obvious choice but that's vulnerable to wading, and anywhere else in the cab seems a bit obstructive. Bit there'd be a host of problems to resolve there. It would be nice if you could you fit one in the standard dash - in the heater box part. So that it worked through the standard vents. FridgeFreezer
The seat box is an obvious choice but that's vulnerable to wading, and anywhere else in the cab seems a bit obstructive. Bit there'd be a host of problems to resolve there. I put mine up on the ceiling. I'm planning to move it into the dash as, as you say, there are numerous issues up there, not least that it never heats your feet and it's a long way away on a LWB! It would be nice if you could you fit one in the standard dash - in the heater box part. So that it worked through the standard vents. I reckon that's doable, either in the dash or blowing into the std heater box.
