tacr2man
The other thing to watch for on the drive gears is the profile on the reverse , as that can also change the park position , as its that which moves the park plunger in the switch that clips in !! need4speed
Little update. The 115 gear arrived from svc today. Promptly fitted. The pic below is the position of the wipers in park. id like them to go down to horizontal. Do you think i should go to a 120 or would that drop them down too far? Am i just being too picky? Anderzander
Mine has the standard Td5 set up and they often park at that level when the screen isn't that wet - however when the screen is really wet they usually got to horizontal .... need4speed
Hmm interesting. When everything is brand new with no wear though, i would have thought that wet or dry shouldnt make any difference?
eds
I would not be able to run my wipers dry. I would not judge their performance or position whilst dry. Park them horizontal to please the eye and what you get at the edge is what it is. Mine when going well tend to overshoot the standard reaches. They are not easily understood! Mo Murphy
Wipers behave very differently on a wet screen. Mo
need4speed
Thanks guys.. So im assuming the general consensus is that i leave as is?
Anderzander
Yep - try it in the rain.
need4speed
Will do. What i might do though is move the wipers a little further down as they were sweeping right up to the edge of the windscreen seal. And that was without moving air helping them up... western
get a garden [sprater] srayer full of water & see how the wiper system sweep reacts to a well soaked [heavy rain] & a light misted [drizzly rain] that should show the range of sweep at both ends of travel. Orgasmic Farmer
Just to compare. This is the set up I have, as described above... You can make out the swept area just about.
