  1. They’re not cheap as in £8 ! 😃 but they are a good shout. They are great quality for their price. Good value.
  2. Nice tools are great - and expensive. I said to my neighbour, a young guy starting out in his first home, ‘don’t buy carp tools’. I know there is a spectrum though - where midrange (price wise) can still be good tools and not only last longer but make the job easier. All of that said though - there are some cheap tools that I’ve bought that have been great, and I figured we might all have? And that if we shared them - we should all be able to afford them ... because they’re cheap? I’ll start ... Mine is a flexible honing set I bought off eBay. It has more sets of legs in it than the one in the link here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/US-PRO-Tools-Cylinder-Honing-Tool-25-to-62mm-For-Brake-Piston-cylinders-etc-6198-/252386512283?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 It was cheap and it’s been fantastic - I’ve refurbished wheel cylinders with it, honed motorcycle cylinders, opened up tight bearings, undersized bushes, and tonight my series speedo drive was just going to need way too much force to go on the output shaft ... For the price I think it’s worth having one in the drawer - and when you need it, they do a great job.
  3. Outstanding Stephen !! on sharing the link - it depends what device you are using. If you are looking at eBay on a web browser, just copy and paste the address of the page .. .... if you are using a mobile device with an eBay app, then look for the ‘share icon’ - outlined in red here .... on this very expensive repair panel ...
  4. Looks like they didn’t .... let us know how you get on ?
  5. I can’t give them back .... I used them !! 😮
  6. I thought you gave them to me !! It may be worse than you think .......
  7. How about - ages struggling to do something fiddly and then realise I’ve not got my glasses on
  8. Chap here shares more details around the trademark battle between JLR and Ineos:
  9. Have you bought a part for your project - only to find you’d already bought one months earlier ? Yes
  10. ⬆️ I saw that on Harry’s video. I was really suprised it had been designed that way.
  11. Could the missing outer wheel bearing put so much stress on the stub axle that it would snap and the whole lot come of? With no outer bearing the hub must have had a ton of movement in it.
  12. All the time - but you never wave back !? 😂
  13. Stereotypes aside though - this ⬆️ Is what it’s about.
  14. Camouflage trousers and hi viz jackets - my friend used to call it oxymoronic clothing
  15. This may make me a snob: but this makes me think of people I see out in Defenders, who wave at me, from heavily modified 90’s, with endless accessories, but that look knackered - and I end up thinking I’m not sure I want to wave back. It feels like half of them should be spending their money on making their vehicles roadworthy, they look like people who’s primary thing is enjoy churning up mud or looking like mad max, rather than laning or land rovers - and I end up thinking ‘I don’t think I have anything in common with you?’.
  16. Have you seen this .... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-101-forward-control-registered-with-V5-/164653599006?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 Looks perfect time to pick it up an shape it how you want it.
  17. This is horrific ... https://www.lincolnshirelive.co.uk/news/local-news/amelia-wood-inquest-louth-lincolnshire-4909808?fbclid=IwAR0mZJPsAZb2GZQW7x0h78qpZl_c2LJcHHpGG1INrZR1uDkljgIeLsEQMCA How many poorly maintained Land Rovers do we see on the road though .. 😢
  18. I love Bakelite 😊 - I laughed because it’s such the polar opposite to a touch screen, and it’s so old it takes something to keep it in use. 👍🏻
  19. Sadly that seems to be true for most things. I’m faced with the choice of ‘pay and have it quicker but not quite how I’d like it’ - rather than ‘pay for a professional job’ too many times.
  20. Sounds similar to the Airtop in my series. I’m seriously thinking of putting one in my 90 too now. The heater in my 90 is actually really good - but it gets cold quickly when the engine isn’t running and it’s slow to warm up.
