  1. Loved that video ! A proper time warp 😊
  2. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Discovery-Range-Classic-red-pick-up-conv-4x4-truck-off-on-roader-FWD-/265005465126?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 what do you make of this one ....
  3. Thank you !! I’d love to pop one of those on my 90.
  4. Mine is an Optimate. I know the C-Tel are better - but this works fine for me.
  5. Could you point us to a pin out chart for it Si ?
  6. He’s only about 15 .... 🥺
  7. She speaks very highly of you Stephen 😆
  8. They are supposed to be angled like that too aren’t they ..... mine isn’t 🤔
  9. I’ve seen people hang them from cable ties and report it making a really big difference to noise. Mine is pretty good - I don’t hear the pump. It does have an elbow, but I wasn’t sure if some are just better than others. I bought a silencer for the intake and exhaust - but run it without them, as neither seemed to make any difference 🤷🏻‍♂️
  10. Would you mind sharing the company name please ? I’m at the low tech end of the scale, and making a folding ply platform in the back of my 80”. What I can’t work out is what to put on that to sleep on. I started off thinking SIMs - self inflating mattresses - but non are the right size for two adults and a child in a row ! So I looked at foam and things like memory foam mattress toppers (that roll up rather nicely) - but really I’ve no idea.
  11. You are a clever chap ! Its brilliant - super innovative and fabulously executed! awesome !
  12. I agree ! and for me, that’s what the video highlighted. I think there is a bit of FJ in it too.
  13. It’s taken me a while - but I have walked past it every time I’ve been in the workshop and smiled at how kind you are.
  14. Hi Stephen - I’ve just this week been moving things in the garage round so I can mount the hand winch you kindly sent me 😁 I’ve got a large masonry bit and 4 rawl bolts at the ready !
  15. Super helpful Fridge. Is there another measure here - that knackered batteries seem to lose their ability to draw significant amps when charging from a discharged state? I’ve notice both inability to handle load and inability to recover normally from being discharged in my own knackered batteries. I think when I opened this thread with a question about a battery tester - I imagined something that could measure both in some way that was proportional to the battery size and capacity ..
  16. Building on the intelligent charger thread - I have an old ctek, that seems to work well, but I have a few batteries that it cycles and charges - but which I’m assuming are too far gone. They don’t hold charge for long and if I put anything that needs to draw a lot of amps on them - they fall short. So - it struck me it would be useful to have a version of those things they AA carry for checking battery health ... cheaply if possible .... Has anyone experience or recommendations? Even a cursory look on Amazon appears to show a bewildering array of devices.
  17. That’s helpful @BogMonster I’ve just borrowed my neighbours to jump start a 200tdi and it started instantly. Very impressive and I’m thinking they would be a great insurance product on solo trips.
  18. You are right. I had a quick play on the configurator, starting with the base 110 adding the county pack and the towing pack, which comes with traction control and so forth and a diff, and it all came in at about 51K
  19. This is quite informative on the new Defender.
  20. Hey I just wanted to take a minute to wish you all a happy year! These days people don't spend much time or thought on some personal words to their friends and family, they just copy and paste some random **** and send it on. So, after all we've been through together this year I want to thank you for your friendship and wish you a happy 2021! It’s going to be a great year and I can’t wait to spend the Easter holidays with you. You are the best gymnastics group anyone could ask for. Best wishes, Beverley x
  21. My family have been lucky this year - we’ve not lost anyone, or had anyone suffer from illness, and most of us have kept our jobs. My work seems to have pretty much permanently moved me to working from home, getting that commute time back has meant I can do things like take my little girl to school in the morning. The slowing down and not travelling, particularly the first lock down, reminded me of Sunday’s in the 1970’s - where nowhere was open, and families spent time at home or in the garden - or maybe a bike ride. My daughter thrived off that family time at home - it was a pace of life I’d lost sight of and not even noticed. Slowing down was welcome. I’ve haven’t got much Land Rover stuff done - but I have sorted my workshop, got tons done on the house (including walls out and so on). I also helped my Mum move house - so she lives at the end of the road - all that with just my 90 and my neighbours trailer. So some real positives in 2020.
  22. Yay ! Hope that young lady loves time in the workshop though .... 🥺
