  1. I've been quite enjoying myself swapping the bulkhead over and swapping everything over onto it so I have decided on buying a new galv bulkhead for the 2a now so saving up like made now to buy one.
  2. Fitted the new bulkhead today inc fitting the pedal boxes, brake and clutch master cylinder's, just need to drill a couple of holes in the passanger footwell ( blank ) for the heater box, N/S bulkhead support bracket and clutch flexi pipe to make a bracket for it, but I will do them as I fit them, will post pic's tomorrow
  3. PRC8876G is for LED indicators just looked it up on eBay
  4. I could be wrong but I think the new flasher unit is for LED indicators
  5. Managed to strip the bulkhead today just got to cut the chassis to bulkhead bracket bolts off on Monday then fit the new bulkhead and start swapping stuff over, not had chance to post pics yet as everything is hidden behind the newly painted roof so once the new bulkhead is fitted and the old bulkhead dragged outside I can then move stuff round in the garage to get to the painted stuff
  6. Son Andy has been working hard over the last few days painting the new bulkhead, doors inc the new rear door we bought the other week and the new roof so I will post pic's at the weekend as there is just to much to get out to get to them to take pic's atm.
  7. Yeah that's our plan just hope if we leave the bulkhead loose there will be enough movement in it to fit stuff back on ( engine bay side ) then bolt it up and start fitting the dash and stuff later.
  8. Yeah I need to get some more yet to carry on further down to have somewhere to put stuff or park a vehicle on like possibly another Landy in the future
  9. Yeah it was a struggle ended up getting the engine hoist out and lifting it out as originally when we did the chassis swap and didn't notice how bad the bulkhead was the bulkhead was easier to remove and refit but with the wings still in place and seats and stuff in place it was a struggle so once the replacement bulkhead is painted today we will fit the new bulkhead loose to allow some movement whilst swapping everything over
  10. And some pic's with the bonnet and bulkhead removed and the rot on the bulkhead aswell
  11. Hi guys As you may know we have decided to sell our 90 and keep the S2a that we are in the middle of restoring but we have a few bits to replace on the 90 that we bought before we decided on selling the 90 which is to replace the ribbed roof for a smooth roof and replace the rotten bulkhead with a recon'd bulkhead, so here are some pic's of the 90 with the roof, door's and screen off
  12. I will open a new thread in the Defender section for the work being done on the Defender to keep it away from the Series section so anyone who is interested it what we are doing on the Defender please look on the Defender section
  13. Well that didn't happen yesterday but will happen tomorrow instead as whilst I was out getting the paint yesterday for the 90's new bulkhead and roof son rang me to say he has got chance of a load of flag stones we desperately need for in front of the garage for free so got back home and loaded the trailer on and with sons small van we collected 50 flag stones in 2 loads and then rough layed them to make life earier for driving in and out of the garage aswell as maneuvering the trailer to where I need it, then once the 2a is finished we will re-lay them properly but what I originally said for yesterday will happen tomorrow now instead
  14. Hopfully work will start on the 90 next weekend we will start by painting the replacement bulkhead and smooth roof ( both already bought before deciding to sell ) and need to be fitted anyway then once they are both painted we will start removing the old roof and bulkhead, swap everything over from the old bulkhead to the new bulkhead then fit the replacement bulkhead and roof and get the 90 ready for selling, then once its sold I can then start work on the 2a but I will start by doing a bit of re-work as originally the 2a was for selling and everything that was replaced with BP parts will be replaced with decent parts now as the 2a will be a keeper and I have given myself 12 months to complete all being well
  15. Sorry I didn't read the paddocks site properly as they don't show the U-bolts and nuts with the springs but its says they all come as a kit and cheaper than the ebay add I was looking at so I will buy the kit from paddocks now
  16. Yeah i've bought the kit before for my last 2a from paddocks but they don't seem to do the kit anymore just sell the springs separately but I have seen the same kit you have linked but wasn't sure what make the springs were but look the same as in your link so I mite just buy that instead
  17. Hi guys As you may know I have taken over the restoration of the 2a swb for my self and as the new galv chassis is sat on new std GB springs I have decided on replacing them with GB parabolic springs and as I can't find any suitable U-bolts for parras just thought could I use the new std U-bolts that are fitted to the std springs atm, what do you think
  18. Think its a matter of trying it and see as it mite work on some engines and not others so not always the pump that's at fault as sometimes the dip-stick mite not be fitted where the deepest part of the sump is like on older engines, I used one when I was in the FLT game working on older forklifts and I borrowed it to service a mates car and it sucked most of the oil out but not all so had to remove the sump plug
  19. Ha it's cracking the flags here and I am in the garage burning pallets and off cuts with the stove on full blast trying to make some room in the garage to get the 90 in to replace the bulkhead and roof and having some beers aswell can't be bad
  20. Got talking to a truck driver at work a while back when I was having my concrete sectional garage erected and he said his garage ( concrete sectional ) was erected around a 4 poster ramp with the roof mounted on the posts of the ramp so when the ramp went up the roof went up with it, wish I had done that with mine
  21. Yeah I have posted similar threads on Land Rover uk forums in their ( Public discussion forum ) and on Landyzone in their ( Anything goes forum ) as most members on the two forums knew that I had a dog and I've not had any problems with the same threads I have posted on them
