  1. save yourself the agro, a lt77 is worth fitting but leave it connected to the lt230, i now run a 230 and bought the rwd kit from ashcrofts
  2. theres a 1/2 inch square hole in the plate that will accept a wrench, much easier than a pry bar.
  3. its a ser3 dash for sure has it got syncro on 1st and 2nd gears? have u got a pic of windscreen mounts? the whole bulkhead could've been changed to a ser3 one. there are differences in the chassis between the 2 aswell.
  4. i cant believe that a bloke with a bigger cheque book as u hasn't already got one.
  5. i really should learn to read posts properly outer panels i bought from craddocks, they will post too, but check they have them in stock or u could be waiting a long time craddocks

    whine

i thought o/drives only whine when engaged? i've never had one but been in one and that only whined when it was engaged. series t/box can whine especially when they get on in life a bit
  7. Allen, welcome to the forum, u'll find alot of info on here to help with the greasy bits as and when they need doing

    Dumb Iron

i've used paddocks ones before and they were fine, about a tenner each to
  9. i bought a pair from here they are moulded plastic rather than the thick cardboard type stuff that lr made them from, so i think they'll stay better for longer. they weren't a bad fit for aftermarket panels either, especially at that price.
  10. i've welded a bar from drum to endplate of drum then just spliced the rope round the bar
  11. if u're stripping off the front of the motor for better access, can u not weld a bolt to the head of the round off one to undo it?
  12. yes, also fitted to late ser3 swb with servo.
  13. thats the way i always do it, be sure to remove the seam on the inside of the tube before reassembly
  14. ashcrofts do this stuff, i've never used it but ashcroft do know wot they're talkin about
  15. what size tube are you cutting? if its got to be perfect can you not face it off on a lathe afterwards?
  16. i've run blacks and greens, greens definitely have more bite once upto temp
  17. propshaft clinic normally make them and deliver within a couple of days saunders in cadnam can definitely balance props and i'm fairly certain they will alter props to suit.
  18. use a torque wrench. 18 lb/ft is not alot. personally i always use just a smear of rtv on w/pump gaskets.
  19. twizzlw, take the rubber boots off your shocks, they trap mud under them,
  20. u could put spacers in but for that amount i'd make up some new props the right length
  21. zeus studs are fine, they are about 15mm longer than standard. to remove and replace just used a flypress or vice to press them out and back in
  22. its not the best of material, it probably didn't help that it was so ingrained with dirt etc. personally i think its a nicer way of doing it rather thamn a very thin collar, but obviously u need to be able to weld ali and then machine it out afterwards
  23. i'd keep a close eye on prop angles too, yoke binding etc
