  1. This. It's an age thing, we're all getting to be miserable, cantankerous buggers who like some comfort in their lives
  2. I watched a Fred Dibs episode last night and some of the old steam belt driven drills were like that, beasts of a machine
  3. Christ I’m glad she wasn’t too badly hurt as riding does show how vulnerable we are. I shall be going for a career change soon which means having 2 wheels for work commuting will be possible but I’m afraid I’m going abit soft these days and a nice triumph tiger sport is a possibility. We hired a couple after I sold my tiger 800 a few years ago to tour Scotland and it was the most comfortable bike I’ve ridden.
  4. No they will be green as well I was toying with leaving the rear dark/black but Nikki said it has to be green too, and now we're ' discussing ' the roof colour and wheels as well. Options are a Green roof but the lift up being black or the entire roof area being black. As for the wheels, Nikki wants oversized wheel arches but i told her the only way that would happen is if we get Blindo's....so we're not ( thankfully as they are far too young for me, maybe 20 years ago i would've thought they were cool...the arches, not the Blindos ) However i prefer the look without any arches, series style. I know it might look like i have a secret yearning for a 109 given what i keep changing on this one! ( i do! ) As for the wheels, i think we'll go for black
  5. I know! Other than trying to kill myself on it, it was cool looking bike.. I do have a soft spot for Jap inline 4 superbikes, I had a gs850 that was built like a tank. have you got any of yours left? I moved over to Harleys and worked for them for 3 years which was fun, again I have a soft spot for Evo engined harleys too
  6. I had a brown z9 from the 80’s...I loved that bike, alas one of many to have left my ownership
  7. Cheers 😁 I’ve ordered a new grill surround ( non A/C ) which I shall do green and maybe the grill...however it does have a wheel in front of it and we haven’t settled on what colour to do the wheels yet....
  8. Coming together again, a few bits ordered to arrive next next week to finish off the bonnet and wings. We’re going to remove the roof again to get it into the workshop to do the rear end and do some work on the lift up part i think it’s looking quite tidy 😁 I’ll spend some time fertling the doors to get it to sit right, it was hammering with rain when I put them on!
  9. Snatch Land Rover bullbar including grills weighs 34kg.
  10. Looks like they might be coming up with a auto kit including an engine soon. They have a video of a Puma with a M57 and 8 speed auto box, the ECU looks to be done by Futuranet Ltd who i believe is admin over at Def2 https://fb.watch/3NhzGyZE0h/ That is ridiculously fast
  11. I was taking mine off and on over a period of weeks, turning wheels etc and swore when i put it back on the wheels looked straight...driving along the steering wheel was pretty much like yours. Even if your wheels look straight, you can be off at the steering wheel quite alot
  12. Try @Mutley to get his attention Stephen 👍
  13. My missus wants me to get one as in her words ‘ you have rugby players legs ‘
  14. I’m a little obsessed with that colour combination if I’m honest,it just works for me we went for green n black as I could t find an orange n grey looking Landy to show her, only the adventure 110 in orange and black
  15. Looking at it, you’re not far off with Kwacker green! The missus worked at motorcycle store in Exeter, no wonder she chose this colour 😉 my choice was bright orange and dark grey
  16. I feel for you, I dislike waiting for bits to arrive if they’re delayed ☹️
  17. Yup 😁 I love the finish on this stuff, first time using it and it’s easily done in a workshop with the truck half out the door Doors were done yesterday, front end today and rear end tomorrow if I can get it in the workshop I’m going to swap the wheels out for some old rims to get it in with the roof fitted...hopefully!
