  1. I hope so, I just bought a set for the CSK from Zeus to fit as part of the rebuild
  2. Both my BW TX boxes have had play here, I always thought it was a little abnormal but appears not
  3. I'm going to be in the same boat as you at some point, will need windows rubbers but for a 91 2 door. I shall watch this thread with interest
  4. Here you go, they're actually L322 alloys but you get the idea I had assumed he'd meant adaptors not spacers Also, I'm not convinced by the colour of that 2 door.
  5. If you do get round to fitting these then I demand photos! I'm looking at ways to fit lower profile tyres to mine when I get to that stage I have seen it done before but I've searched google high and low and can't find any :/
  6. Check the play in the wheel bearings front and rear for a start, make sure the sensors are seated correctly. It's possible with the use of a short length of wire to read the codes from the ECU; ABS Fault Codes doc I've done this before but had so many issues I just put a switch in place for a while
  7. I'm not going to post them all as images so here's some links! http://3wk.co.uk/Series3/080309/DSC00153.JPG http://3wk.co.uk/Series3/220309/IMG_5104.JPG http://3wk.co.uk/Series3/250109/IMG_4686.JPG http://3wk.co.uk/Series3/250109/IMG_4685.JPG http://3wk.co.uk/Series3/Image029.jpg http://3wk.co.uk/Series3/recent/DSC00076.JPG http://3wk.co.uk/Series3/recent/DSC00077.JPG http://3wk.co.uk/Series3/manifold1.JPG Be warned, they're pretty big images. Series 3 is sat in the garage if you want any more pics etc.
  8. My conversion came with engine mounts, I can try and dig some photos out if it will help?
  9. My 3.9 is cooled by the standard rad + kenlowe fan, it doesn't get treated lightly either Buy my SWB, fit a supercharger and a NOS kit, axles + gbox should last long enough to upset your workmates at least once!
  10. The G'box x-member is a bolt in affair anyway so probably not much of an issue, just swap them over. I should imagine mounting points are all roughly the same too for what you're looking to do
  11. 200tdi D1 or 300tdi D1? Certainly my 300 shape D1 chassis is the same as the 1991 onwards RRC chassis. Different G'box X-member and different A-frame mount for a start.
  12. The time for painting my chassis, suspension components and axles will soon be upon me and I'd like to know what people recommend for this? I've always used Hammerite in the past but heard POR15 is quite good? I will have the opportunity to give them several coats and to leave some drying time too It's for the CSK and it's going to be black underneath, if this makes a difference. so what do people use these days and where's the best place to order from? Cheers
  13. Is the sole purpose of this machine going to be winning at the lights? If so then perhaps you can afford to think a little outside the box... 1. Fit a car auto box, 2wd. 2. Uprate the back axle and fit some grippy rubber 3. Reduce weight. You've already lost the TX box. Smaller "fuel cell" type tank, rag-top, strip the back out completely (no seats/carpets/sound proofing). Lighter wheels (alloys). 4. Small wheels to keep the gearing down Of course you're still going to need to uprate the brakes but if you're 2WD then it makes the front axle a little easier to do. This will make it fairly quick but very neutered for anything other than dragging off the lights.
  14. I have to admit I did write that under the assumption the work would be carried out at home! I too am a little bias though as I'm currently restoring my own
  15. Air suspension, I think 92/93 was the cross over year for the EAS, although if this is a LSE then they all had EAS so ignore me
  16. Good condition classics seem to be getting few and far between and prices for good examples appear to be going up accordingly. If it really is in not too bad condition then I would be tempted to spend some time and put it right properly so I could enjoy it rot-free for many years to come. If you just want it to go off roading with then I would be tempted to fix it up to MOT pass and run it as such.
  17. It's things like this that give me hope for rebuilding mine by next winter! best of luck!
  18. This thread disappoints, I came here expecting something altogether different!
  19. That's very sad and one of my worst nightmares, along with theft! at least nobody was injured in the fire. A real shame to see a project that sounds like it was progressing so well to vanish like that
  20. hah, yeah! I've popped up a thread in Members Vehicles Forum if you want to see some photos. I went through that site yesterday evening, it's going to be a life saver! I just hope he stays in business long enough, I've seen a lot of these sites come and then vanish
