  1. And on that bombshell gentlemen, perhaps you could agree to disagree and leave the topic quietly B)
  2. The LSE had it first from 1992. SE as std for 1993 model year and as an option for lower trim level. However as with everything there are exceptions to the rule so best ask the question of the seller.
  3. Well in my experience I have found F-F to be one of the most knowledgeable and helpful chaps on the two forums I moderate. I hope you will find the info on here useful too.
  4. It's this one mate http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=29293&hl=
  5. Well at least you got sorted, that's the main thing. Things is that should someone else buy steps from JSG then at least your experience is here for them to draw from.
  6. Pug 405 twins fit my '87 model, with minimal shaving of their cowling. No aircon in the way though.
  7. You need to provide more info than that, Les. Year - Engine - trim - that sort of thing. They are a good bunch on here, but not psychic
  8. Mmm Southdown... Expensive but good gear - on my mate's K plate Tdi
  9. The slot is for the oil pump drive, it still has a skew gear drive from the cam to run the distributor. This is where it can get difficult as during a rebuild the pump drive can be misaligned to the cam gear which can result in mis-timing if you haven't encountered the problem before.
  10. Imagine brushing past in a pair of light coloured trousers
  11. Sorry, yes I meant in this case the rear tyres
  12. It's quite feasible for the axle tube to be bent. We had one on here (I think) years ago with tyre wear only on the inside edges. Turned out the rear axle was bent. We had a Disco in the club with a bent front stub which caused similar symptoms.
  13. Agreed, but it was one hell of a post!
  14. So you think 3-3 is a bit dear for a V plate then? One at a local garage for sale the wife was telling me.
  15. Well I did find one pump but it's single pulley only I'm afraid so no good to your mate.
  16. That would be the legal requirement I think you'll find
  17. I do have a 3.9 sitting on the drive that has been converted to normal braking system, that passed MOT ok.
  18. That's because the key is usually associated with the shaft. P/N 554880. I've got at least one Pre '86 PAS pump somewhere. If I get time and can find them, I'll check how many pulleys they have.
  19. "Move over Clark Griswold - this ain't no Christmas Vacation"
  20. Hmm, is the soft dash light panel vastly different then, Jon? I thought it was the same as the post 90 vehicles. Oh well, learning all the time.
  21. Real Steel is my personal preference, but Rpi are similarly good for parts.
  22. The original always had a trailer warning light on the dash, certainly back to '78.
  23. No the grumpy old git that moderates the section got to the computer after you did, hence the anomaly (moderator approval). I've since lifted that restriction so it won't be an issue again... ...unless someone starts playing up of course.
  24. Bit testy, it must be the time of year
