  1. my speedo seems to have an affliction to lasting any length of time, although being a series xfer box and taller tyres and a 3.54 diff it pretty much reads in KPH what youre actually travelling in MPH lol ive never found evidence of correction for series speedo's though unfortunately
  2. i would be tempted to take a look into weld termination fatigue and the Y termination for welding the new bracket back on, although I work mainly with plant equipment and its most likely completely unneccesary for welding on these brackets
  3. does it happen in 4th or only 1st second third and reverse?
  4. the standard axle ATB in the rear is pretty much invisible in normal use, i.e. on wet grass, no understeer at all, feels like a normal truck, however if you boot it you get a much more progressive and controllable oversteer than that of what you get with an open diff
  5. no worries mate would of been glad to help
  6. ashcrofts do some nice driveability and reliability upgrades when it comes to anything gear related too which i think would definately be worth considering
  7. bowie, the problem is that the whole skin is stretched and while i could easily make it look better it will still be really wavy if you catch it in the wrong light and who would want a land rover with less than perfect body panels.... Haha Barry there is a steel rib along the bottom edge of the "barrel curve" ive not yet opened the door but i suspect its probably slightly misshapen too.
  8. I'm in Ludlow now as i type let us know if you need any help this weekend ta
  9. Plus, theres always that teensy bit of surface rust that 12 months down the line has spread like cancer into the whole door
  10. the wall gave me right of way though!! looking pretty mashed up now aswell though heres a pic from the bull incident think itll buff out though.... cant tell on the pic but its all concaved and the rest of the panels arent quite that bad but it aint gonna be a quick skim with the filler lol sorry bit O/T there
  11. nice ATB i have one in my rear axle, yet to test it off road (In fact yet to STILL get some front shafts made up so i have 4 wheel drive again) but i can tell you in a selectable 4wd vehicle, you can drift like ken block... ! even the mrs can drift it smoothly on grass. looking forward to hear your thoughts on it in the real world.
  12. ... just clicked on his link lol same doors half the price pretty much
  13. ashtree do doors with a galvanized frame and ali skin which seem like a rather good investment if you can justify the £400 and odd price tag per door. i wish my mrs would tell me to spend money on mine! haha
  14. hmm, when you pull up i wonder if poeple would think... "hey its that 110 that starred in james bond" or.... "that guy REALLLLLLY cant drive" then again i am pretty sure you would always have the right of way in that
  15. have you pumped the pedal solid and held overnight too? that helps loads sometimes
  16. mine didnt even come with shields in them at all 2x sets
  17. I would imagine that is 14cfm in total as thats quite a lot of flow especially for that size compressor. looks like it will be plenty though! i only ever need more when using my sander but they are hungry!
  18. have you contacted heystee they may be able to help but does sound a bit odd
  19. yes, remember now not that i obviously took much note of the drill press at the time lol
  20. P.S. maybe my tank is 150L then if thats a 100L? i dunno haha
  21. is that 14cfm the compressor motor delivery or the output delivery, if its the motor delivery that will run your impact guns no problem, even the 3/4 drive guns only use an average consumption of 6-12 depending on load they use probably more like 20-25 CFM but how long do you really run an impact on load for? the general rule of thumb in workplaces seems to be 4CFM delivery per technician so that should be plenty especially with the extra reserve of the other tank, the 14cfm should fill the tanks relatively quickly too i suspect my compressor probably produces between 4 and 8CFM but have no way of knowing for sure
  22. must of missed that one when we went hmm
  23. wow, been past the signs for that place so many times, and the ironbridge are does intrigue me, will definately have to make the trip once back at uni in newport!!
  24. nice, whats the CFM average? ill be interested to know how it runs with your air tools as a comparison to mine i have an old Ingersoll Rand compressor about 75L judging by the tank, from what i can see there are no plates on it just the sticker which says made for spaldings by IR. dont know the delivery on that but it seems good for impact guns, and spray guns but cant keep up with my orbitol sander which isnt really surprising as they use about 16CFM on full whack compared to the "average" 1/2" impact gun use of between 4 and 5.
  25. you know the next question, what colour box did it come in? are the seals okay? i know in theorey unless it was a faulty seal it shouldnt be spongy no matter who made it, although just thinking "outside the blue box" the quality of the casting inside could maybe "Catch" the air although i am just speculating here and as always, the answer is nearly always much simpler than that. out of interest, what if you swapped your known good caliper (or even easier a known OK for these purposes old one) onto that side, and blank other side off, what does the pedal feel like as this will determine for sure wether its a faulty caliper or not. just my 2p
