  1. Webasto do a blown air heater that is good but eberspacher's are more common. There is also mikuni I've fitted their hydro system on a boat worked well and I believe cheaper. Mike
  2. Your more than welcome it's always nice to meet people off lr4x4 and glad you had a good time. Mike
  3. I have an eberspacher d1lc that I used in the tomcat in Norway and then my 110 in Scotland. I have a d2 for the ibex but it needs a new ecu I believe. Mike
  4. Or bends..... have you ever tried to straighten one.
  5. I suspect you need to use it upside down though. Mike
  6. Cool I'll look when I get hold of them. Unless someone on here has a set they wouldn't mind looking at for me in advance. Mike
  7. Agreed but there's the whole debate over tornado (freestyle) wheels on a 110. My ibex is a 118 and probably the same weight as a 110/disco. I think I'll wing it as no one seems to know and I can always down plate the rear axle if need be. Mike
  8. Sometimes I really hate living down south. We haven't seen any yet this winter. Mike
  9. Just for the middle of the swept area on each side. That's all I do a bit of trial and error using a pin. Mike
  10. Does anyone know the load rating for cyclone wheels. I need some discovery size tyres for the IVA of the ibex and have been offered some mounted on cyclones. Mike
  11. Every thing land rover up to about 300tdi doesn't have a fuse in the main feed to dash etc. Discoverys from 92ish to 94 had fuseable links (thin wire designed to burn out if overloaded). I've replaced these on my ibex with an under bonnet fuse box from a td5. Mike
  12. Me too, the wife has now given in and points them out for me. Mike
  13. Your not helping! It is close but I'm expecting it to fail the IVA first time so its about 3 months from booking to on the road. Mike
  14. I'll try my hardest, there is rumours of an ibex get together I guess it will be in the summer. Mike
  15. It transpires that this year is the 30th anniversary of ibex so I best get it on the road then! So in that vein I did a little today. I've fitted the rear door panel, I do have two of these one is just ply full height with carpet on the other is fibreglass and only half height. The full height is fitted with machine screws into the frame. The half height is I case I have to put a rear window in for the IVA so fingers crossed they let the current one through. Also got the rear seatbelts fitted nothing tricky here as the mounts are part of the frame so just find the holes under the linings and bolt them in. Mike
  16. Mine has a 3 hole and has never been skimmed. My impression is it's to allow for bad tolerance control in the factory. Mike
  17. Slight lift mainly due to the winch but it did rub occasionally on the back before. Steering lock stops need adjusting to stop the tyres rubbing the radius arms. I don't know what offset the challenger wheels are but the modular (16x8) stick out father than standard wheels. Mike
  18. Same tyres on modulars. I really like them and would have to be pushed to change. Mike
  19. Trust me I can be a grumpy old bugger and I don't like bangers or seat belts NOT being worn. Plus I'll happily kick someone out (and have done) for not playing nicely.😲 Mike
  20. I remember a time when I got that much done in this amount of time....oh yes then I had kids. Mike
  21. If you have a towbar on the back that's fine chances are we'll pull you out the way you went in. 😉 Mike
