  1. Thanks very much for all the replies gent's, much appreciated. Big thank you to Retroanoconda for posting the speedo trick, will do that at the weekend. Any bodges tricks for getting a RRC fuel level sender to work with the Td5 dash? New gauge time?
  2. Gent's, Forgive my ignorance but why would you want to do this? What are the advantages?
  3. Can anyone explain the hand written pin numbers please? Thought I had it figured out until I saw "Lights 20-20" Oops, sorry about the triple post.
  4. I think I weighed mine at 2.0 Te iirc. Can't remember how much cr@p I had in the back at the time though... Edit: Sorry was typing at the same time as Western.
  5. That's a good pic. Doesn't look exactly the same as mine though, all my LEDs are clear?!
  6. Was looking at mine yesterday strangely, all the LEDs etc seem to be surface mount so I doubt a repair is possible.
  7. The fact that your spare fob works would suggest an issue with your normal one, battery or not.
  8. I don't think you'd break the ring gear, torquing up the crank shaft bolt won't exert anywhere like the force applied by the starter motor surely?
  9. Thinking about this I'll never through away a knackered starter motor again! Wouldn't take a lot of work to make a tool to lock up the ring gear.
  10. Which engine? Engine in the truck I presume?
  11. Gents, I have the standard temp gauge in my 2000 110 hooked up to the 4.6's sender causing the gauge to read incorrectly. To sort this out is my only option to find an older style gauge from a V8 90 or 110? I have considered screwing a Td5 sensor into the V8 but I'm not sure of the running temperatures of a diesel. Ta, Mick.
  12. ^^^^^^ As said they may be a bit pricey but they are superbly made. I'm on my second one & I suspect the my 110's chassis would give way before anything broke on the bumper.
  13. It was from here: http://www.firstfour.co.uk/products/winch-bumpers They do a few different types, as Bowie has said they do stick out a way & can effect approach angle, depends what you want.
  14. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i242/mut_photos/mypickup.jpg It didn't have a body lift but hope the pic helps in some way.
  15. I'm off work today but if your not in a rush I'll have a look what we have.
  16. Can't think of any reason why not. You'd need one withna rating of 2 KVA or >. Do you already have one G?
  17. Just had to pull a Passat out that was blocking our lane, numpty left his handbrake on and the only reason he didn't clip the wall with the rear wing was I saw it fishtail in my mirror!
  18. The injectors and harness are inside the rocker cover, it's only sealed by two o-rings iirc. Not the best design I've ever seen. ukspike, If that much oil is present in the ecu connector I'd be wanting to have a look inside the ecu...
