  2. I'm thinking of making a trip through the Alps next summer, having enjoyed our trip to the Pyrennees and would like to follow Hannibal's trail. Has anyone done this route or can offer any guidence on using off-road pistes in the Alps ? Photo, accounts and advice welcome. Also any recommendations you might have . Mo

  7. Well done John, that's quite an acheivement. There are plenty of 1.2 transfer boxes about, for the sake of £50 - £100 I'd be inclined to buy another and fit it and save yourself a heap of work rebuilding the existing transfer box. Mo
  8. Remember though, that gps speed is only accurate on the flat, hence it's suitability for ships, on hills the readings are out. Mo

  11. As Simon said above, check the alternator fan. I had one of the long bolts come undone on the alternator which would slide in and out kissing the fan on the end of it's travel and giving a very loud intermittent jingling ! Mo

  14. Yes, it will but the gearstick will come up between the seats and you'll need to modify the exhaust downpipe. Mo

  16. There was a thread on this before. It seems from other's experiences that pattern caps leak from new but genuine ones don't. I bought a new genuine cap and I can confirm that it doesn't leak. HTH Mo
