  1. Mine hasn't been changed, and it is now on 141000
  2. Thanks, but I simply dispair. Hours of effort, and not a single reference from the hosting company about anything beginning with ftp. Why do they make it so complicated? Why not simply ask for your website address and a password? My brain hurts! I'm going for a whiskey and watch some trash on the TV!
  3. Hi, Trying to get what I have done so far for my website on the web. Stuck at the last hurdle. What is a FTP host. Unable to connect to FTP host message keeps coming up. www.transylvania4x4tours.com Cheers, Paul
  4. I tried tightening the grub screw but it made no difference. So it looks like I will start with a new boss.
  5. Sounds like fun. Do you do all your own maintenance on these trips?
  6. Sounds great, and you must have done plenty of homework to get the costs down to that level. Have you done this sort of thing in any other countries?
  7. Thanks for your comments I found a site that sells jubilee clips. As usual 3 billion choices. Anybody hazard a guess at the size, for bottom rad hose? Cheers, Paul
  8. Got my tester through the post today. Not as flash as the REME's, however, it did the job. It reads in oF not oC. Reading for freezing point was -6oF which I think is equivelant to -21oC. I thought it would be lower than that with 50-50 dilution. Oh well, I'm not doing it a 3rd time.
  9. I must be in the wrong job! How can you afford such a trip and get the time off? Cheers, Paul.
  10. Thanks for your comments. I will have another look at it this weekend. Cheers, Paul
  11. I went up to see the international horse event trials last summer near Burnham Market, Norfolk. Zara Phillips was riding there too. There were RR's & LR's everywhere. There is a whole area from the North Norfolk coast to just North of King's Lynn that the locals call Chelsea on Sea. Since the rail line was electrified from London to King's Lynn, many wealthy Londoners have been buying up flint cottages all over that area. Once they have the cottage, they either buy a Volvo or a LR to sit in the drive ready for their weekend visits. I think this is a big petential market for LR and I can see why they are trying to exploit it.
  12. Thanks Ralph, Mine is only sloppy on one side, would that make it a different problem Neil's? Cheers, Paul
  13. The windscreen wiper, driver side seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it wipes all the way down the screen, other times onlt half way down. The dryer the windscreen the worse it is. I thought maybe because there is more traction rubber to window when only spotting with rain, causing slippage of the not so new looking splines. Or is it something more sinister lurking under the dash? Cheers, Paul.
  14. I tried a couple of routers before I got it right. D-Link I found very hard to set up and caused me lots of problems. I took it back and bought a Fritzbox. This took seconds to set up. I have big thick walls with concrete floors in our German made house. I find signal strength is ok up to about 10 metres, then starts getting weaker.
  15. Thanks Ralph, I have just e-mailed Bearmach to see if they have all of that list in stock. Cheers, Paul
  16. So that will be a new master cylinder, slave cylinder, new flexi pipe and bottle of brake fluid. Do I need anything else before Rejo gets here? Cheers, Paul.
  17. Thanks to everyone for your comments. Really informative, and very helpful as always. Cheers. Thanks Rejo for your offer. That is really kind. If it is ok with you, I will get the parts ready for when you come over, and you could talk me through it. Everyone has different styles of learning, but to be talked through something is definately best for me. I always find the Haynes manual makes things more complicated that they actually are. Or is that me? I am not sure how quickly you need the Nuvi 350. Maybe we could have a chat about that when you get here?? Yes, the market in Munster in great. Real quality products including beer and food! People come from all over Europe for it. It does get busy though, as it has become too popular for it's own good. It is on every year for a month and finishes a few days before Xmas. If anyone else is planning a trip here, let me know, and I will show you round the best bits. Look forward to seeing you Jo on the 29th. Cheers, Paul.
  18. You came out of it in one piece , that's the main thing. The LR looks like it came off much better.
  19. Sorted out the water leak, but have now noticed it wasn't just water. Clutch fluid is slowly trickling down the clutch pedal. I have had the LR 2 months now, and the fluid resevoir level looks ok. I take it a seal must be going somewhere. Is this a do now job, or will it wait a little while? Cheers in advance. Paul
  20. You are absolutely right about the driving. 18 wheelers overtaking on blind bends is quite a common sight.
  21. Thanks for the information, very informative
  22. Depends how hard you are! Only joking as you are absolutely right. The temps go well below zero, and roads are not always kept clear of snow.
