  1. Thats just it, why would you pay all that money and not go for the silliest option!
  2. £950ish I think they are. I bought a M pump for £250 off ebay. Had a local chap quote me "about a grand" to swap the 6mm elements into it. Turns out its a hell of a lot cheaper to buy a dieselmeken pump from the offset.
  3. Just to point out, the pictures above are from GazFab, the chap who has made the adapter plate. I have also been thinking about the TC depths. How do you set the depth on a RV8? In the past ive always "felt" the TC onto the oil pump drive and never had a problem. When you offer up the autobox and engine, the TC must come forward slightly on the splines to bolt up to the flex plate(?)
  4. Hopefully these pictures shall help, You have to cut a chunk of belhousing out to be able to get in and do the torque converter bolts. Hopefully i'll make a better solution than this.
  5. I shall be using a V8 zf4hp22 autobox, these are more suited to the higher revving and torqueyer om606
  6. going in my 110, posted in the members vehicles section.
  7. I DO have room for a remote transfer, just want my truck on the road ASAP so I can plan the next step. Id look at running a BMW 530d gearbox with a cut and welded merc/bmw bellhousing or maybe find a big yanky slush box that can handle big power. TH400 etc etc
  8. i've always found they answer pretty quickly every time ring. I don't ring often as theyre only over the hill from me. What do you need?
  9. I will be using 6mm elements out the EDC pump fitted to a mechanical om606 pump. Apparently with this setup with standard turbo youre good for 250bhp... i think. I'm going to be running the GazFab conversion plate to zf4hp22 autobox, so i dont really want any more than 250bhp for the time being. My conversion kit should arrive this week, engine can be fitted any time soon, mechanical pump and locking tool has arrived. Just need to have the elements swapped and can start to get it all bolted up.
  10. is this turning into a incredibly slow race Ross?
  11. I've never looked at the battery yet, I don't even know whats in there!
  12. interesting, I'll have to go down to the local scrap yards and have a look at what looks like it will fit. A friend of mine has some leather seats fitted, they look almost standard but he has absolutely no idea what cat they're out of! cheers chaps!
  13. td5 axles don't have two nuts and lock washer. They have a big washer and a nut with a bendy edge on it that you bend down like a lock washer. on my old td5 90, I converted back to the old style.
  14. Just looking for some more comfy and possibly heated seats for my 90. There are loads of cheap heated seats on ebay, and I just wonder what fits etc?
  15. I picked up a Cat3 tractor link ball the other day and a few years ago I came across a load of IT equipment that had been dumped in a layby. Infact im still using the flatscreen monitor and I have a few server towers waiting for a project!
  16. Id be buying a 20t press, you'll soon hit the limits of a lesser press. I made my own press using a 10t bottle jack - it struggles. Wouldn't touch an A-frame ball joint.
  17. 1st picture - 571718 - Front halfshaft oil seal (inside swivel housing) Defender, Discovery 1, Range Rover 1986-1994. 4th picture - land rover rear Brake and Side light lense. 6th picture - bag of 35amp glass fuses
  18. If the brake test shows the OSR brake is working inefficiently, clearly there is something wrong here. for the price of a new set of pads of discs Id just replace them to make sure it was all lovely and working! Brakes are important!
