  5. 21st - thanks Chris - YES! I booked the day off - be warned I will be at Sodbury - Si, can I hang round your stall offering muffins again please? They employed me as a Supervisor, I get to be all responsible and boss 11 guys around. Strangely I love it!
  6. I wave at anyone - ok everyone - I get the "I'm not waving at a Disco" snobbery too, but I don't care, I just wave more and blow kisses - that usually works I'm nowhere near Sussex tho...
  7. - Stephen - I am sure I do NOT know to which clip you are refering - not that there are lots, but.... Ralph - the Disco is an iccle bit poorly, I still have to be brave and swap the rear arm bushes and bolts plus a hydrolic hose - [posh voice] I have block paving now you know![/posh voice] Si - aren't Malvern and Eastnor the same? And while I wasn't there, I didn't lend you my sun cream and annoy you help you on the stand for an hour or so! I was in Croatia for Billing, hopefully I'll have some pics to post soon...John - I never thought you'd offer again! Steve - yes definately! I love camping! Rehab's feeling good, although it's gonna take weeks to read the backlog, and I'm earning the most I ever have being a TOSHA - Siggy you show off! (Traffic Officer Supervisor for Highways Agency) tm BishBosh What date's Sodbury in Oct?
  8. [sits up and blinks] Blimey - I must have nodded off. Did I miss much? I had this really weird dream, giant martians that looked like Ray Mears took me away in their space ship, I had to perform strange acts involving rope knotting and whittling spatulas. I must eat less stilton...
  9. I need a mechanic for two things - one for the tracking on the Disco, and the other is the cam belt on my racing tractor (Corsa) Sadly, as I am spending my entire life working, training, or packing at the moment I have not made any friends to ask who to use. So does anyone know of a garage in the Telford area that they can recommned? Cheers
  10. Nige - I don't want to offend, or upset you, but I agree wholeheartedly with you. If we get rid of the OT threads, I won't be able to post - and neither will Mandy
  11. Yes but you have to give him 10 Diram before he'll tell you anything! Enjoy the trip!
  12. I know I'm a stranger on here, but please have patience! I was in Bath on Friday visiting a mate and when we returned to his LR there was a flyer on it saying: Soft top 1964 Series IIa Land Rover registration 958 XYB. She was stolen on Warminster Road, Bath sometime between Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th April. I am desperate for any information that may help in tracking her down. She is a black, short wheel base, soft top with chrome 8-spoke wheels shod with General Grabber ATs. Her paint work is instantly recognisable as it is badly pitted and scarred following a chemical reaction with the primer. She is fitted with a 3.5 Rover V8 that has red exhaust manifolds and custom built exhaust system. The interior is completely standard with grey front seats and black bench seats in the rear. I have owned the 'Old Girl' since I passed my driving test back in 1998 and she holds huge sentimental value to me and my family after spending a year rebuilding her. If you have any information please contact me at JDobson@rskensr.com Thanks Jack So I said I'd post it on here for him, I have his phone no if anyone knows anything, and I also have pics, but being me I can't seem to upload them. Thanks for your patience!
  13. Very Funny! I think I've shopped there, funny thing is I can't seem to find my way out of the basement...
  14. I got two shiny new QT diff guards, two headlight surrounds and a grill for spares. I cleared 20 muffins, and 25 cookies! Nige - where WERE you?
  15. Hmmn - no, I scream enough on the saddleback in the daylight! But.. - I did - just for a second - consider it!
  16. I'd have love to have gone but I'm on an early shift so I wouldn't get there before 5pm. So sad that we're going to lose this lane, but then we could always walk it Mark - it was the one I showed you on the floor in Wales! Remember?
  17. Of course! Double choc chip cookies ok for everyone? Any requests? Tom P - I can offer you a lift if u like -see PM. [ah ha - someone to carry my shopping]
  18. I'll be going too - loads of lovely shopping to do, I'll be easy to spot, I'll be the blonde happy looking woman!
  19. I think it's a good idea, it seems we're going to lose most if not all of the lanes anyway, why not use them while we have the chance? The assumption must be made that this "Mega Drive" will be carried out carefully - Paul, will a route be driven if the use it has already received has caused damage, or heavy wear? I've not been laning for as long as some, and longer than others, but I don't believe GLASS, AWDC etc have better awareness than CRAG because they've been around longer, and if I recall correctly, a while ago the concensus of opinion was any good green lane PR was good public awareness. There's always the danger the "Mega Drive" could all go pear shaped, but do any of us sit at home in case we get hurt out in the real world? By the way Paul - Mega Drive is a crappy name! Sounds like a computer game...
  20. Yes my rented flat will soon be even colder and emptier. I'm moving to a very large garage with enough parking for 3 vehicles. Oh and it has 3 beds and a brick built BBQ - Party anyone? Chris, I’m offended that you think it’s odd to miss me – although I never did get as wet as that first time - Chris pulled me out of that river in flood – remember? Sodbury? Yeah like I’d miss a chance to shop! I will be there, and in fact I will be assisting on the X Eng stall – and yes I will be bringing cakes and cookies Nige. John – thanks honey – we really must get introduced! The job is going very well, and Bish, I will be careful – I promise! For those of you that don’t know, I’m working for the Highways Agency, helping provide “safe roads, reliable journeys and informed travellers” and it’s way better than credit control B)
  21. Spookily I have already spotted that one! How sad that Scorpion have yet again proved themselves.
  22. I'm back - I have moved up to Telford, got a new job under my belt, and have just purchased a new home for the cat (Buffy), the Disco and me. So as I haven't been online for the last few months, I have quite a bit to catch up on - can anyone recommend a thread to start on...
  23. Well I think almost everything's been said - This was a business decision by Scorpion, but they knew when they took it that it would be personal to Simon.
  24. As a RUPP, when NERC comes in it will be lost for vehicular traffic anyway, you might be able to prove vehicular use, but the council will just TRO it. So get used to kissing all the RUPP s goodbye. A gate needs consent from the council, the width position and type have to be specified. No permission means that it is an obstruction that does not even have council consent to be there. It should be removed and not replaced, if you replace it then YOU are obstructing the highway! You cannot take it home with you, burn it, break it up, or bury it under 3 foot of mud and rock. This upsets the farmer. Neither should you squirt Super Glue into the padlock or short your booster leads across the locked padlock, this makes it impossible to unlock. 8" nails driven through the gate into the post is just criminal damage.
