Best: series 2A V8 that I still have Worst: series 3 LWB diesel that has a siezed 2.25 Diesel, I bought a "doner" SWB LR with a 2.5D and another 2.5D (I bought to fit snow plough.... but it has a very Rusty Chassis and needed a new one.........) Now I am doing up the doner and Rob has the 2.5D in his Alls well that ends well!! (The body bits from the LWB will be used in the hybrid)
  3. Triumph never used the Rover v8.....they have there own 3L OHC V8
  4. Oi Rob......... Is that a cutting disk? and you where grinding? Thats why it exploded! Cutting disks cut via the edge, grinding disks grinds on the flat and the edge you may have caught the flat side of the disk but not known and then it ground itself down! I did this the other way round many years ago, tried cutting a S2 chassis up using a 9in grinder with a grinding disk.......it took so long........I only reaised it when I changed it!!!
  5. .......remove the front bumper!! My got it weighs a ton.......but not as heavy as the one thats going on it!! Also remove the spare, unused seats, door tops........etc!!
  6. These systems by Janspeed are very bad and unreliable, always breaking down and screwing the engine up!!
  7. But Torque Techniques are expensive......... £400 for a 88 V8 exhaust system £200 from Jake Wright I now want to fit Tubular system so may go to Torque Techniques for the exhaust. R

  9. I spent 3 months working in Janspeed............... If you get a mini manifold, chances are I made the flanges!!! Maniflow are in Salisbury http://www.maniflow.co.uk/ Janspeed are in Salisbury http://www.janspeed.com/ There is another in wilton, but I can remember its name!!
  10. ...got a long round bar about 2ft long and "fitted it" with a bit of filing to a 7mm socket. Bend the other end at 90 deg and its ideal for reaching Jubilee clips........ I also now have one without the bend that I can attach to the cordless

  14. Unfortunatoly this year we will be "passing" on our way to Buxton so wont be comming back till sunday It will be a quick wander this year (about an hour) and the mrs wants clothes I need the BIG main gear on the back of the OD..........the main shaft!

  21. I went for M8 but the tools only go to M6 so I may have to make one like this guy did........ here
