  1. Scott, the rear door could be the knackered spring. Pop the badge off the handle and get some WD40 in there, and have a poke about.
  2. Problem with that for Neil is his being a 200tdi with the engine snorkel on that side.
  3. Damn work and blocking youtube, means I have to wait 'til I get home
  4. Oh not to worry . How much of the car did you have to dismantle to get the box out? If you haven't sorted the breathers yet, I bought a great little manifold off ebay for mine
  5. Neil, could you take some pictures of the process while you're doing it please? Mine is also full-o-splendid and I think seized too. When I eventually sort it out I was thinking about running a second snorkel for it.
  6. Thanks for that Ralph, learn something every day
  7. Surely the best thing there would be to pull it out the other way, or winch it?!
  8. I thought the ones like that for going behind the Bedfords had a larger hitch? or am I wrong?
  9. Thanks for the offer Jon, but I have a panto set to finish building and then get the lighting set up so I won't be there
  10. The Halfords one is a lot shorter than that, and also isnt a ball end. I think I might have to invest in one! Is it an 8mm one and have you got a part number?
  11. I have the allen key bits you mention, as I have the large Halfords set. Problem comes with the fact the bolt is that close to the pipe, it doesn't fit! Tried it with tape round it, then tried this evening with dad turning it while I supported the UJ and it still wouldnt shift So pending weather/panto set build/motication I'll be cutting the downpipe for better access!
  12. Yeah, its far from the best idea just if you're making your own you might take something from the idea. Even if its to do nothing like that!
  13. Yeah it was the prop I was thinking about... knowing how fast they have to spin . wouldn't want to get your trousers caught in that!!!!
  14. Thats the up position. the rounded section comes down.
  15. oooooooo Can't wait for some in-the-field testing! I assume you're going to guard it a bit better?
  16. Sorry Greenstream, I was barking up the wrong tree Ignore me!
  17. Part no's mean nothing to me sorry The calipers should line up fine as they are attached to the swivel housings .
  18. I'm sure they are identical both sides . This is assuming the older one you have is also one with bearings top and bottom?
  19. Its still going to drag the tyres round corners though.
  20. Oh, I forgot to mention.... its been changed sometime in its life for a stainless cap head. I think because the shape of it wouldnt let a normal bolt fit!
