  1. From what the interviewee was saying about the track repeatedly crossing the river it sounds as though it could be Strata Florida. That is in the Llyn Brianne area and is a popular lane for camping on so seems to fit. And we know how dangerous that can be in flood.
  2. Indeed, on both points. However as they have taken the trouble to sign up I'm sure they'll stick around to share their wealth of knowledge
  3. Only had a quick look and the regs "The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989", but it would appear that direction indicators must be viewable to an outwards andgle of 80° and that is not including side repeaters where required. This was my concern with the recessed lights shown above. If mounting proud like the standard position it shouldn't be a problem. See here for full indicator requirements, for other lighting requirements see schedules towards bottom of this page.
  4. Not 100% certain but there might be issues with the viewable angles on the recessed lights in the first set of pics. You'd need to read up on C&U regs to be sure.
  5. Not high pressure, about 1 bar IIRC.
  6. Kenton's racer with ZF box uses a 13 row cooler mounted up front, no fan to draw air through as rad is in the back, but usually moving enough to keep air flowing through. No idea if it works as there is no temp guage on gearbox oil - actually I think it's fine as the oil stays nice and red and clear. I don't think I'd want to go much smaller than that. No real tech calculations about heat transfer efficiency etc, just what looks and feels about right.
  7. My 4.2 was the same, although I never used the multi V. A setup I have seen: belt around crank, water pump and PAS - double pulley on PAS and water pump - belt from PAS to alt and belt from water pump to air-con compressor. All three belts single V.
  8. I was up for it, I had some thing to pick up in Grimsby anyway, but my driver couldn't be convinced We'll be there next month, whichever site it's at, gotta get these diamonds used up! Best shut up now before the OT police arrive PS 3 seconds, it's close at the top
  9. That's how Diggerland works too, and why you get to 'race' 3CX's with single figure hours on the clock. I say 'race' as it's not exactly quick.
  10. Will uses the wifes car for that
  11. I found this in the shed tonight, looks to be the o/s bracket in the pic above. Any good to you?
  12. Here's a pic of an engine with both mounts fitted I think I may have the left hand bracket (looking from front as in poic above), don't think I have a right hand one. Will check the shed tomorrow evening.
  13. Yep they can be mounted either side. O/S without aircon, N/S with aircon as compressor takes the place on the O/S. Which side bracket are you needing? I may have one in the shed.
  14. I can't remember the colur codes but when I done an auto install I simply identified the wires using a multi meter. There should be a pair that are closed when in neutral or park and open in all other gears. Wire these between ignition switch and starter relay.
  15. How does it comply with the auto reverse requirement?
  16. You could put a scoop on the roof and a second skin down the back of the cab, with a window so you can still see out, to take air down to the rad mounted behind the seat bulkhead. Twin mondeo fans shift a lot of air, plenty to cool a V8, so an ali V6 mondeo rad complete with fans sounds a good suggestion.
  17. I log on with 'remember me' enabled but have been getting logged off after each session the last couple of days. Multiple PC's, multiple browsers (different version of FF and IE), nothing has been altered on any of the PC's and all others sites remain logged in as normal.
  18. Yes 90/110 had metric axles/hubs all through production, RRC did not.
  19. Is that a ZF+LT230 or a BW65/66 with series transfer box which is significantly shorter?
  20. If they have a 14mm (9/16") hex head then they will be 3/8 UNC not M10. Can't help with part number though.
  21. I'd be more worried about the fact it's in Wales
  22. I spent a day off roading at 7Sisters and drove back to Bristol with three 235/85's and one 7.50 after getting a flat. No problems. I put the 7.50 on the front (flat was on rear) as I had a detroit locker in the rear. Note that 7.50's can vary quite a bit in size from smaller tham most 235/85's to bigger than most, my 7.50 was a touch smaller.
  23. I had the same idea but so far have been too lazy to do anything about it
  24. I have an Halfords box like the first pic. Been pleased with it apart from that catches are now suffering a bit, it doesn't help that my box is well loaded and they take the weight when lifting it. The handle seems to be holding up well enough to the weight, although it would be better (and easier to lift) with two end handles like top box chests, it's at the upper end of the size limit for a top handled tool box IMHO, but maybe it's just the amoumt of tools I cram in it. The drawers are holding up well to the over loading though.
