  1. Make sure you know: 1) where you are at all times (GPS, Memory Map etc) 2) Which lanes are legal - the place is criss crossed with a multitude of tracks. 3) Legal = do your research via wiltshire CC website. Know the current TROs 4) buy and mark up your maps - I was stopped by police last time and if I didn't look "professional" I am !00% sure they would have nicked me for being 50yards (!!!) off track 5) Enjoy your day if you have done all of the above!
  2. HBLRO are at Slab in a couple of weeks time I think. Check their tinternet webby site thingy
  3. I use built hamber in aerosol cans with supplied probe pipe. Works well coz don't have a compressor.....
  4. £289 with the VAT direct from Adwest in Reading. Delivery extra or collect in person. Warranty = 2 years. Very good price and for OEM
  5. John I used replacement lips that I got from AL-Services along the sides and behind the front seats. Worked a treat. Have lots of photos - must make a youtube video collage! Give me a shout if you need any "pointers". Mine's worked a treat. The outlet pipes are close to the floor but I put an extra "x-member" in there to provide some local support.....if you are a local to Hampshire them welcome to come and see the finished product.....
  6. Did you buy the box direct from Adwest? I always rather deal direct !
  7. Mine has started to leak from bottom so summarising this thread: Don't bother with a seal kit Don't bother with a certain company named in the thread Perhaps try some seal leak to begin with but if that doesn't work then Go straight to Adwest in Reading and buy a brand new one Sound about right? Rob
  8. Looked fun when I drove past this am. Saw a P38 wedged in a ditch
  9. Nice and local. Will bookmark them PS Will call you soon re: welding
  10. Yep I agree with Harry. Britpart ones are a good fit too...and a reasonable price. Range of colours.
  11. Cheers! Forecast currently favourable....see you out there sometime....
  12. A battery shop Sorry.....I got mine from Halfords - got the HD version....but a mate does have a trade card which helps...
  13. Yep Byway = BOAT Rangers and Wardens will more than likely look favourable on those who have obviously done their homework and have marked up maps and memory map etc.
  14. Project Ubique. The reply I got from MOD in July: "The speed in which the changes can take place is dictated by the work load of the Department for Transport (DfT) and the smooth running of the legal process. We are confident that the DfT application will be dealt with before the end of the year. However, I’m pleased to say that the ground work has already been carried out and the vast majority of proposed alternative routes running around the Range already exist as permissive routes, so are already open to use by the public (subject to flag in some locations). The application to the DfT is of course necessary to formalise these routes as public rights of way for the long term." Yes, paper and digital maps doesn't always match 100% on the ground.......use common sense and local signage....one I know goes across a ploughed field - don't drive over a farmers workplace!!
  15. Does it have sunroofs? Might be them or the alpine windows in roof.
  16. Byway = BOAT in my book but would love to hear otherwise. I think it's coz it's short for byway open to all traffic and so fits nicely on a post sign. The word boat would confuse those not in the know. Will be on the Plain all weekend coming so will look for those signs and cross ref to my maps......
  17. Use a phosphate rust converter like ku rust or fertan before painting
  18. Didn't know that.....mine is factory fit 200 classic and doesnt have one - might have been removed when engine came out for clutch prior to my ownership. Got a part number or picky fitted? Ta Rob
  19. I use this type of cheap 2 way radio as it means I don't have to fit a cb or an antenna - less to attract thieves! Can buy in packs of 2 or 4 and they work with other brands of 2 ways. http://www.maplin.co.uk/cobra-mt200-pmr-two-way-radios-518305
  20. Click on the green font Tidworth 2012 flyer link (a PDF) in the previous posted link. Here again http://dorsetrover.co.uk/tidworth-driving-day/
