  1. Duncmc - cheers, thought so. Fozsug - yep, seen that in my parts manual. Ta. I see we are "neighbours in Hampshire".... Q - lower tailgate number plate wiring - I assume the connectors are inside the taigate and so need to thread it out to reveal them? Will no doubt have more questions! Read lots of threads on floor replacement on here so got some good ideas. PS I have sent some ££ to contribute to forum but not showing on my avatar - probably need to send more! Cheers Rob
  2. In process of replacing rear floor (new front inner wings, footwells and sills already done - rot free Classic in future!) 1993 Classic: Question - how do you remove the rear seat belt floor mountings? I assume you unscrew the torx head bolts that are visible?
  3. Went this am. Lots of changes to old A3 All lanes open except High Button Lane (Gibbet Hill) which has the width restriction TRO - big metal gate thingy! Short stretch of tarmac links the 2 lanes on west side of old A3 - obvious when you are there. Did the "Steps" (Ridgeway Farm lane) from W to E but could not get up the last steep bit in the RR - holes caused cross axle and got very close to a wall - old 80" trialling skills kicked in . Suggest doing E to W (downhill) but eyeball it first before driving - lane is not for newbies .
  4. That is a work or art and so generous! What a gent.
  5. Cool...thanks for the info. Will probably go down the Nationwide Trim route for the new headlining....
  6. What are you repairing? What did you get from YRM? I've got the boot floor and probably inner rear wheel arches to do soon...

  8. Update: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-17183374 Mentions name of farm - I know it. Sections of South Downs Way are RB's round there so I guess their research may not have been complete but still no excuse for what happended. Terrible. Case continues.
  9. Any issues with the central locking sensors next to rear view mirror when doing this? Next job after boot floor
  10. Don't forget YRM Metal Solutions too.....done all the research on this as boot floor replacement (with early Ali version) imminent... Post some photos of the work. Will do the same in Members Vehicle forum for benefit of others....
  11. There is a company on ebay that also do lots of repair panels - something like "easy on panels"....
  12. 4 pages of RR repair panels: http://www.paddockspares.com/parts-and-accessories/range-rover-1986-1994/body-and-panels.html

  14. Challenger 4x4 have lots of recommendations.........? This guy I have heard is good too = http://www.terryfinlay.co.uk/

  16. Hampshire has lots but my recommendation would be to head for Wiltshire - loads and also Salisbury Plain - greenlane mecca. Can send you links to Wiltshire CC website etc. I was only joking re: abuse
  17. Or scrap it and put the engine and box into a Defender Seriously though lots of places do repair panels = YRM Metal Solutions, Paddocks, AL Services in Poole (floor rails), Craddocks etc. Good luck!
  18. Use the SCC website - interactive map and list of TRO. Any abuse and I'll report you
  19. Yikes! My neck of the woods...I know the lanes around Ditcham (all of 3!) and all are very very obvious...weird.
  20. Update: Don't refer to the Highways Agency PDF maps online - they are wrong - according to SCC not ME!! Gibbett Hill / High Button / 503 (you choose your name preference) is still TRO - as we know already. Don't go near it! Summary from SCC: They are all open with the exception of Byway 503 known as High Button, which runs north east to Roundels Cottages. Byway 500 is open and should be used with care as it gets multiple users. The old A3 is having a layer of top soil and other landscape workings on it, and will no longer be in use. If you drive down 500, you will be able to cross the old A3 (this section is open for those crossing) and use either 500 or 501 past the youth hostel. There you go.....be good and obey the law and green lane conduct so the rest don't get a TRO! Happy days...
  21. Didn't go but have emailed a contact I have in the RoW dept at Surrey CC for an "update on BOATs" in the area.....
  22. CTEX 3.6 should do you fine...just bought one myself. Check your battery Ah against the spec on the CTEK website....
  23. Boot floor next job on list

  24. Any updates on the lanes around Hindhead aside from Gibbet Hill one? Might bomb up there tomorrow for a look-see and report back. Will start at Thursely end and drive south towards Youth Hostel - obeying any temp TROs if relevant
